This elderly gentleman was affected by the Oct2022 Flood and again by the February Storm. He is struggling to afford repairs
This older man had his home very badly impacted by the flood in 2022 and due to not having insurance he has slowly been trying to do the repairs on his own. He was then affected by the February 2024 storm event and sustained more damage to his home.
When speaking with him today he said it is a very slow process as he can only afford to but one piece of wood at a time because it is $75.00 a piece and he is a pensioner and is on a very limited income.
