Women 50 and over who have experienced homelessness and/or housing stress
Our organisation provides temporary housing to women 50 and over who have experienced homelessness and/or housing stress. The project became a possibility because of the unwavering passion from a community group of women and volunteers who meet to empower women in the housing space at the local Community Centre and the wider community.
One of the women who is currently part of the project will be transitioning to long-term, permanent housing at the end of May 2024. She is required to return white goods at the end of her tenancy. A fridge (including freezer) will reduce housing stress and provide financial security as she settles into long-term housing.
