Flooding 2022

Family were impacted by 2022 Floods and again with the 2024 Floods. Damage to house which is unsafe to live in at the moment.

Client's has mentioned that now, it probably will be close to August before they get into the house. Once the plaster is done they have to pay for someone to paint the walls, buy doors and skirting boards, new carpet and Lino, new bath and showers, kitchen cabinets and bathroom. The plaster has been removed and now they have to wait for a mold inspection. Will be another 3 weeks before that’s done and the contractors cant start putting new plaster on the walls until that has been done. They are currently paying rent to house 4 adults, a baby and pets until the house is fixed. Client said, “It would be really wonderful to maybe get some clothes. Been living in same pair of jeans and few t-shirts for months. That was one of the big loses as my clothes were in cardboard boxes on the floor when the house flooded. We lost all our shoes as they were on the floor of the walk in robe. K Mart or Target gift card would be wonderful.
