Family were living in a tent due to fleeing DV but then had all their belongings washed away in the 2022 floods
My client was severely impacted by the 2022 floods when she was living in a tent with her children after fleeing from DV. All their belongings were washed away, and they have been living in temporary accommodation ever since. My client managed to find part time employment however the company has had a sudden closure, and she is now unemployed whilst trying to take care of her children. She spends over 3 hours per day driving her children to and from school and is financially strained with the cost of petrol and becoming behind in their rent. The accommodation they are currently living in is due to be demolished in the near future and my client has the added pressure of trying to secure housing in the current rental market. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
