Elderly lady is experiencing Domestic Violence from a family member is very vulnerable. Requires support to install cameras.
Elderly woman who has been a foster carer all her adult life. She now cares for the children of those that she fostered many years ago and does this from the kindness of her heart with no formal arrangement. She is also still recovering from the 2022 floods. She has been experiencing violence and harassment from her son who suffers from major mental health concerns. This has been going on for several years and police have advised installation of sensor lights and security cameras. With only her pension for income she cannot afford this. She has 2 dogs who are also subjected to violence. She sleeps with a deadlock on her bedroom door and both dogs in the bedroom. The aggression has been escalating over the past month and she is terrified. There is an active DVO however he is not adhering to this or following his medical treatment plan. She lives on her own and requires a walker to get around, this makes her extremely vulnerable. We are seeking financial aid to install security cameras.
