Single widowed mother caring for 3 children experiencing significant mental health struggles and allergies
Mum presented to mental health at the hospital earlier this year due to overwhelming mental health struggles. The family have experienced complex trauma and PTSD following the children's father dying by suicide. The family are finding it difficult to adjusting to a single parent (part time) wage with the current cost of living.
Mum is caring for her two children along with her friend's daughter. The oldest child has a diagnosis of ASD.
Mum has an allergy to grass and is unable to hang her washing outside so has racks inside the home or goes to the laundromat. The family would benefit from access to a dryer to alleviate financial pressures and make more room inside the home for the 3 children to play.
