About the role

GIVIT is recruiting a full-time permanent Engagement Officer, Level 3 SCHADS Award.  This role is perfect for someone who is naturally warm, curious, and communityminded. Someone who loves building relationships, solving problems, and empowering organisations to better support people experiencing hardship. If you're great with people, confident learning new systems, and thrive in a team that works hard, laughs together, and genuinely cares about impact, this is your role.  

 

What you'll do:

Every week will bring something meaningful. You will:  

  • Build genuine, lasting relationships with councils, charities, recovery groups and community organisations

  • Help services use the GIVIT platform to request support for the people they work with
  • Deliver face to face and online training, workshops and support community based organisations to build their capacity to use GIVIT’s digital platform 

  • Work with communities after disaster events to identify needs and rapidly match donations 

  • Participate in local recovery meetings and contribute to planning groups 

  • Improve processes to support fast, fair and effective donation distribution 

  • Promote GIVIT’s programs and work closely with our Marketing team 

  • Strengthen our networks with governments, recovery agencies, corporate partners and community partner organisations

Other requirements:

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within QLD
  • National police check (or willingness to obtain at your cost)
  • Reliable internet/home office setup for hybrid work
