Queensland Manager - Government and Community Engagement

About the role

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Lead a statewide strategy to connect and engage with community organisations to help fulfil real community need.  
  • Expand GIVIT’s reach and impact in Queensland by building strong relationships with government agencies, charities, corporate donors, and the community.
  • Manage and deliver on GIVIT’s Queensland Emergency Recovery Service contract, ensuring donated goods and services are managed effectively to meet genuine need after natural disasters and emergencies.
  • Drive engagement, connection and donations across key GIVIT programs, including domestic and family violence, homelessness and First Nations to meet the needs of your community.
  • Identify funding opportunities for ensuring the sustainability of GIVIT services in Queensland.
  • Ensure all Queensland contracted service agreements are met, including key performance measures and reporting obligations.
  • Raise GIVIT’s profile, acting as a media spokesperson as well as a networker and advocate at public forums, events, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with GIVIT's marketing team to share GIVIT’s impact stories and raise our awareness.

Your skills and experience

We're looking for someone who:

  • Excels at building long-term, collaborative partnerships with governments, recovery agencies, charities, and corporates.
  • Has outstanding communication and reporting skills.
  • Can manage government-contracted services and commitments.
  • Is a confident public speaker and media spokesperson.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments and stays calm under pressure.
  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications or has extensive experience in disaster and emergency management (Recovery), community development or a related field.

Accounts Assistant

  • Brisbane-based or Remote
  • Full-time fixed term to 30th June 2026 with hybrid arrangements available

We are looking for a full-time, fixed term Accounts Assistant to provide accurate processing of donations, purchasing and expense transactions. Following clear company policies and procedures you’ll work both independently and collaboratively within the small friendly Finance team.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be recording daily financial donations, processing and recording relief purchases Australian wide while assisting the purchasing team with maintaining strong supplier relationships. You will also match and reconcile bank receipts, monitor the accounts inbox and ensure our online filing is always up to date.

Your skills and experience

We’re looking for someone ideally with:

  • Experience in accounts or office administration in a similar role
  • Experience using MYOB and Office 365.
  • Outstanding attention to detail ensuring the accuracy of the company’s records and invoices
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Great at communicating within the GIVIT team.
  • Strong work ethic and deadline driven
  • Passionate about helping the community and your impact.
