Queensland State Manager

GIVIT, one of Australia’s most innovative and inspiring not-for-profits, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Queensland State Manager to lead our disaster recovery and community engagement work across the state.
This is a rare opportunity to combine high-level strategy and hands-on service delivery - working alongside government, councils, corporates and frontline organisations to make sure vulnerable Queenslanders receive the support they need, when they need it most.
About the role
This is a diverse and rewarding leadership role suited to a self-motivated person who thrives in dynamic environments, is confident working autonomously, and excels at building influence and trust across sectors.
As the Queensland State Manager you will:
- Lead a small, high-performing team in this hands-on, delivery-focused leadership role.

Oversee GIVIT’s day-to-day programs across Queensland – including domestic and family violence, homelessness and First Nations support, ensuring compliance, quality reporting, and delivery in line with established strategies and contracts.

Drive disaster recovery efforts – representing GIVIT at recovery meetings, supporting frontline partners and delivering real-time reporting.

Be a trusted voice for responsible donation management & the circular economy – representing GIVIT in the media and at conferences and forums.

Grow influence and partnerships – fostering relationships with government, councils, local recovery agencies, community organisations and corporate partners.

Shape operational policies, procedures, and tools to maximise efficiencies and impact.
What you'll bring
- Proven leadership skills with experience in government, community, or stakeholder engagement.

Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in disaster recovery, community development, or emergency management.

Strong contract or program management skills – including monitoring KPIs & reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and inspire collaboratively across sectors.

Digital savviness and strong CRM and data capabilities.

A valid driver’s license & willingness to travel across Queensland when needed.

Graphic Designer
Are you a highly experienced Graphic Designer, with a passion for storytelling through design, photography and videography? Do you want to take the GIVIT brand to the next level visually while also making a real difference to the lives of Australians in need?
GIVIT, one of Australia’s most innovative not-for-profits, is seeking a talented and senior Graphic Designer to lead the visual identity of our brand. You will produce high quality, compelling designs that showcase our impactful work and inspire generosity.
About the role:
This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid and flexible arrangements (part-time considered for the right applicant), offering the chance to drive the creative vision across all channels – digital, social, web, email, print – from concept to execution. You’ll lead projects, execute high-impact designs and elevate the GIVIT brand visually. You’ll also capture and produce photos and videos that bring our stories to life, supporting marketing campaigns and donor communications.
What we're looking for:
You are a design specialist first, someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and can take the lead in shaping a brand’s visual identity. You are highly organised, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to influence how GIVIT communicates its mission.
What you'll bring

Extensive experience in graphic design (ideally 5+ years in-house or agency, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-level design leadership).

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, with a deep understanding of brand, typography, colour, and visual storytelling.

Photography and videography skills, including post-production editing, storyboarding, and shooting content that supports campaigns.

Strong project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders to deliver on time.

A passion for community impact and translating it visually to inspire action.

Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or related field.

GIVIT is seeking three passionated and skilled Board Members to help us continue to lead the way in responsible giving across Australia.

The GIVIT Board
GIVIT is governed and supported by a dedicated volunteer skills-based Board of Directors, who play a key role in shaping GIVIT’s strategic direction, good governance, and impact. Meeting six times a year, Board members also attend sub-committee meetings or provide additional pro-bono support, as required relative to their area of expertise.

Who we're looking for
To continue strenghtening the skills and diversity of our Board, we're seeking new members with experience in one or more of the following areas:-
Finance / Accounting - a qualified accountant to oversee GIVIT's strategic financial stewardship, governance & risk management . The role will Chair the Finance & Risk Committee and work closely with the CEO and CFO.
- Not for Profit Sector - demonstrated experience in Not-for-Profit leadership and management at a community services-based organisation.
- Legal - senior legal expertise including contract law and negotiation, governance, and the ability to identify and advise on legal risks.
- Commercial / Corporate Governance - experience overseeing commercial strategic planning, operational performance, revenue generation & compliance.
About You
Beyond professional skills, we're looking for Board Members who:-

Have previous NFP or leadership experience, with a clear understanding of legal and fiduciary duties and responsibilities.

Can contribute to organisational strategy development.

Understand current not-for-profit governance principles.

Can identify, assess and mitigate financial and organisational risks.

Bring excellent communication, critical thinking and collaboration skills.

Are proactive, positive and generous with their time and expertise for board meetings and preparatory work.
