Sarah Tennant, GIVIT CEO
After joining GIVIT in 2014 as General Manager of Disaster Recovery, Sarah stepped into the CEO role in 2019. As CEO, Sarah leads the strategic direction of GIVIT, raising GIVIT's profile and overseeing the ongoing development of GIVIT’s international award-winning donation management platform. Key to this is adopting emerging technologies and delivering organisation wide process optimisation to continuously improve and develop seamless technology delivering greater social impact. Sarah has shaped GIVIT’s ‘ground up’ ethos which ensures that community members, leaders, and local support organisations are heard and empowered to make decisions about community needs.
Michaela Chilcott, Head of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships
Michaela Chilcott has more than ten years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector with previous fundraising roles at MS Queensland and Orange Sky. Michaela joined GIVIT in 2022 as a Fundraising Advisor and was appointed to the role of Head of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships in July 2023.
As Head of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships, Michaela is responsible for developing and embedding sustainable income streams, enabling GIVIT to meet strategic objectives and maximising the organisation’s impact for Australians experiencing hardship.
Michaela holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) degree.
Sam Richardson, Head of Marketing
Samantha Richardson is a marketing executive with almost twenty years’ experience leading marketing teams in the private sector.
As Head of Marketing at GIVIT, Samantha has a strong focus on brand growth, stakeholder engagement and transforming digital experiences for GIVIT supporters and users. She manages social media, digital marketing and media relations teams to build the profile of GIVIT among all stakeholders and inspire action.
Samantha has held previous leadership roles within the finance and insurance sectors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science degree.
Joanne Renton, Financial Controller
Joanne Renton is a qualified chartered accountant with 20 years’ experience in providing strategic leadership, financial management and reporting, business partnering, and process improvement across the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. Joanne joined GIVIT as Financial Controller in 2022, managing the financial and human resource operations of the organisation including payroll and purchasing teams.
Joanne has held previous financial operations roles with not-for-profit organisation Relationships Australia as well as positions within financial institutions in the United Kingdom.
She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy and Non-profit Management).
