GIVIT ensures 100% of your public donation received by GIVIT will be used to purchase essential items and services for a person in need. GIVIT’s staffing and operational costs are covered by government contracts, corporate supporters and donors who choose to “Give it to GIVIT”.

Yes. Cash donations over $2 are tax deductible as GIVIT is registered with Deductible Gift Recipient status.  

Monthly giving is a convenient way to donate to GIVIT regularly by setting up regular, automatic payments. The benefit of regular giving is that it happens automatically, so you don’t have to remember, and it has fewer administrative tasks for us too, which helps keep overhead costs down. Monthly donations help us plan longer term and ultimately support more people in need.

Absolutely! Head to our What’s Needed page to find local charities requesting physical items such as children’s toys. Use the category filter to browse options like groceries & fuel or toys & play equipment to see what donations are currently needed near you. Much-needed donations include non-perishable food, grocery vouchers, and indoor or outdoor play equipment.

If you don’t see a nearby charity requesting goods, you can list your items in our Online Warehouse, where organisations can reserve the donation when needed.
