Worn Gundidj Aboriginal Co-Operative Ltd

Our mission, since 1992, is to provide social and economic opportunities to Indigenous people. By building sustainable Indigenous-owned and operated businesses and helping individuals transition into stable employment, we can open up pathways to economic self-determination

Worthy Australia

Worthy Australia is an officially registered charity with ACNC. Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness for the women and children of Perth, who have been disadvantaged by domestic violence.

Lack of financial independence is a key reason many women and children remain in domestic violence affected homes here in Perth. Many women fleeing domestic violence relationships must leave in brief, opportunistic moments, with nothing but the clothes on their back.

These women then find themselves in refuges or shelters with no money or means to provide for themselves or their children. How do you start again when you have nothing to your name? That's where Worthy Australia comes in. We turn empty houses into homes for women and children who are exiting domestic violence refuges or transitional housing.
By driving donations in Perth's local communities, we source every single item needed to rebuild their lives with love and self worth.

OUTREACH
Every young person has their own story to tell and their own issues to deal with. So we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. We treat the young people who participate in Outreach programs as individuals and make sure our programs meet their needs – whether it’s BBQs, sporting events, cinema nights or music workshops.

Our Outreach programs give young people the chance to meet youth workers. It’s often the first step to accessing help. We can support young people if they’re in trouble and put them in touch with the services they need.
