Provides services for adults and children experiencing domestic and family violence across Cairns, the Tablelands and Port Douglas/Mossman.

CALHN Royal Adelaide Hospital Volunteer Unit

The respected team of volunteers at the Royal Adelaide Hospital
(RAH), Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre (HRC) and Repat Health
Precinct (RHP) play an important role by generously giving their
time to support staff in enhancing the comfort and wellbeing of
patients and their loved ones Our Volunteer Service has initiated an emergency clothing program designed to offer support and comfort to those in crisis.
We are reaching out to request donations of clothing, toiletries, and personal care items that can provide solace and dignity to patients when they need it most. Your generous contributions will go a long way in helping individuals in situations such as:
• Patients who are experiencing homelessness.
• Individuals whose clothes are destroyed either before or during their Emergency Department (ED) visit.
• Patients experiencing a mental health crisis with no family support or access to personal items.
• Patients that are from country or interstate with no family support.

Caloundra Community Centre Inc

Caloundra Community Centre provides a range of services including family support, support for older people & their pets, emergency relief & crisis assistance, No Interest Loans, parenting education, adult literacy, community development, multicultural activities and support, information & referral and training for employment. As well as service provision we provide space for organisations to provide outreach services so that local people don't have to travel outside of their community to seek assistance. We also provide support and space to a number of local groups including AA, Gamblers Anonymous, Bipolar Support group, craft groups, older women's groups, art groups etc.

We have almost 100 volunteers who assist us in vital ways to provide services and connect with people in our community who may be struggling.

Caloundra Community Centre while it receives some grants and funds from government we raise a significant amount of funds ourselves so that we can better provide services.

Camp Quality

Camp Quality brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer.

Our services and programs help families build optimism and resilience through community, education and fun. We are there for kids (0-15 years) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling or parent, every step of the way.

Our programs provide hospital support, age-appropriate education, camps, fun days and family retreats that provide families with a break from cancer to reconnect and build a supportive community.

Our services include digital resources and counselling, accessible whenever and wherever they are needed. We’re proud to have improved the quality of life for kids impacted by cancer, and their families for 40 years.

We’re a not for profit organisation delivering a range of employment, community and commercial services.

From more than 80 locations across four states, we offer:

employment support to those experiencing long periods of unemployment, those with temporary or permanent illness, injury or disability, or those that just need a bit of extra help finding a job;
pre-employment support and training;
labour hire services, specialising in local people for local jobs, primarily in NDIS, construction and local government;
a range of local, tailored, Indigenous, youth and family services; and
an Aboriginal pre-school for children aged 3 – 6 years, in and around the Mogo area.

Our Young Mothers Pathways Project provides tailored support to young Mums in the Deception Bay area so they can study, find work and build a happy, healthy family.

Can Assist (Cancer Patients Assistance Society of NSW)

It costs more to have cancer treated when you live in the country. Our mission is to ease this burden. Extra travel and accommodation expenses, combined with other out of pocket medical expenses, can be financially crippling for families, especially when it is the primary income earner undergoing treatment.

Accommodation and travel expenses make up the largest form of our financial assistance (almost 50% for FY 2019), followed by medical expenses at 42%, the remainder being utilities and some bespoke assistance categories.

We operate in 55 branches in country NSW – from as far north as Moree, as far south as the Bega Valley and west through to Nyngan, Dubbo and Balranald, we have close to 3,000 member volunteers. Every dollar raised local is spent local. We assist in over 8,000 requests annually.

CAN Community Support

Provides Food Security Support in the form of Emergency Relief Food parcels, fresh food and free meals as well as a Family Learning Program with a Homework Club and Playgroup and a Multicultural Women's Group.

Cana Communities Inc

We foster dignity, hope and belonging to people who fall through the cracks of society by offering companionship. We are 45 years old, we are 98% volunteer run and don't take government funding. We have 3 residential homes in Sydney and Fremantle and a social enterprise at Orchard Hills. We work closely with the drug and alcohol program at Parklee prison.

Canberra Alliance for Harm Minimisation & Advocacy

As a peer based group, CAHMA employs workers who have a first-hand knowledge and understanding of the issues encountered by people who use drugs. CAHMA workers utilise this first-hand experience and understanding to provide numerous services, including peer support, education, representation and advocacy. We promote improved health for drug users and, through the provision of education and information, seek to reduce harms associated with all drug use.

Canberra City Care Inc

Canberra City Care provides 4 practical services to members of the community who are going through a time of financial hardship. The 4 services are: HandUp Food Care which provides a range of low cost and free food items; Re-Runs Op Shop; The Tech Shed for recycling and refurbishing computers; and Christians Against Poverty which offers a free debt management service.

Canberra Health Services - Disaster Recovery Mental Health and Wellbeing

The Disaster Recovery Mental Health and Wellbeing project sits in the Mental Health, Justice Health, Alcohol and Drug Services division of Canberra Health Services. This area is responsible for standing up a workforce of Wellbeing Officers to provide psychological first aid in evacuation centres, in the event of a disaster.

Canberra Health Services - Enhanced Health Services

The Enhanced Health Service of WYCCHP encompasses four services: the Early Family Support Service (EFSS), Child and Family Health Service (CFHS), Developmental Paediatric and Child Protection Medical Service (DPCPMS) and the Women’s Health Service (WHS).

The range of services and teams within the Enhanced Health Services have a unique role in providing intervention and supports for women, children, young people, and families where there is increased risk of poor health or developmental outcomes due to an intersection of complex health and psychosocial needs. Families receive the support and interventions they need while they work through some often very complex trauma, family breakdown and significant disadvantage.

Canberra Health Services - Liaison and Navigation Service

We provide service navigation, care coordination to children and adults with complex health care needs. The complexities of these needs often place our clients as some of the communities most vulnerable, and given the rising costs of their health care, puts many of them at greater risk.

Canberra Health Services - MHJHADS Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cultural Specialist Services

Support, walk with and work with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, family and community to ensure optimum health outcomes are achieved.

Canberra Health Services - Rehabilitations, Aged and Community Services

Rehabilitation, Aged and Community (RAC) services provides integrated and effective services for throughout the ACT, including healthcare and support for people with acute, post-acute and long-term illnesses.

They aim to improve the quality and accessibility of services to clients and promote care that covers the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, support, rehabilitation and maintenance of conditions. They work closely with other healthcare providers to improve communication between primary, acute, subacute and community healthcare services.
