Laptop
She brings so much hope with her, that we can't let her fall behind just because she doesn't have a laptop
Our 12 year old girl was born in a Tanzanian refugee camp, where her family waited 23 years to be granted permanent residency in Australia. Her father said he wanted to come to Australia to find peace. Her Mother and Father were both born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She lives with her mother, father, grandfather and 11 other siblings. She helps around the house with chores and cares for her younger siblings. She looks up to her older brothers and learns respect from them, and knows that they show her respect too. She likes to read and is good at dance. She does well at school, but finds maths challenging sometimes. She wants to be a nurse so that she can help other people. Having a laptop will help her with her school work, because we live in a technological world, and she doesn’t want to be left behind.
