Southern Cross Community Housing is a major provider of social housing to people that are financially disadvantaged. The organisation provides housing to over 5000 tenants that are located in the Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Sapphire Coast Local Government Areas.

Southern Cross School of Distance Education

Our school caters for a cohort of students ranging from Kindergarten to Year 12 across a range of areas from the Northern Rivers, New England, Tweed River and Coffs Coast, delivering education via a distance education model. Our students are disadvantaged educationally, socially, emotionally, economically, culturally and/or living in regional and remote places. Due to each student's personal circumstances are unable to attend a usual school setting. We aim for struggling students to attain equivalent educational standards and provide them with work readiness skills and opportunities to become active participants in their broader community post school.

Southern Districts Support Association

Southern Districts Support Association is a not-for-profit community care organization based in Armadale WA.
We provide support services, to frail aged and people with a disability primarily in their own homes. We do this to help people to maintain their independence and to help them to live independently in the home and communities longer, so that they do not have to go into residential care.
We also provide transport services helping people get to medical and social appointments.

Southern Peninsula Community Support

We are an emergency relief and crisis support agency supporting people in the community suffering economic hardship, and day to day work with people experiencing mental illness, family violence, homelessness etc. Our emergency relief is delivered entirely by volunteers while we have some staff operating case work programs, a homelessness outreach program and an offsite homelessness support program, SPLaSh (Southern Peninsula Laundry and Shower program). We operate very much as a safety net for our community, providing food relief, material aid, brokerage, advocacy, negotiation and referral, as well as a lot of care and a listening ear! We generally deliver about 400-500 emergency relief sessions per month, have around 25-35 people per session accessing support through SPLaSh and we run a walk up fresh food program which around 40 people per week attend. We are a passionate and committed workforce, dedicated to social justice and equity in our community.

Southern Youth & Family Services

The Southern Youth and Family Services Association Incorporated (SYFS) was established in 1977 and is an independent, local community-based benevolent (charity) organisation in the Southern part of NSW. SYFS provides support and assistance to vulnerable, disadvantaged and homeless young people and those at risk of, disadvantage and homelessness. This support extends to the children and families of these young people.
SYFS works with the broad community in a collective effort to reduce homelessness, prevent hardship and disadvantage and to enhance the quality of life for all Australians. SYFS assists individual young people and their families to improve their living situation, to reunite them to their families, to maintain their tenancies, to learn living and social skills, to link them to education and training, to support them to reduce the barriers to employment, and to enhance their health and overall wellbeing.

We manage 6 foodbanks, 2 community cafes, 2 school breakfast clubs and Community Hair Project, we provide free haircuts for homeless and DV in 61 locations around Australia. Indigenous Hair Workshop, we travel to remote locations around Australia and teach basic hair skills. Share Your Home, we have made an app linking homeless teens and homeless families with Aussies who have a spare room, for short term free accommodation.

Southport Flexible Learning Centre

Southport Flexi is a non traditional learning environment. Often for young people who have disengaged from mainstream education. We have a cohort of predominately at risk youth. Our cohort consists of beautiful young people with a range of special needs, indigenous status and the rainbow community. Our school focuses on ensuring that these young people have a space to feel safe, seen and included.

Souths Cares was established in 2006 as an independent, public benevolent institution. It’s charter is to support disadvantaged and marginalised youth and their families through the delivery of capacity building programs addressing education, training, health and employment needs.

Southside Community Care Inc.

Southside Community Care Inc. is a Specialist Homelessness Service providing crisis supported accommodation to homeless families. Our Family Support Workers assist tenants to develop a case management plan supporting them to address the issues surrounding their homelessness. A holistic approach is taken to support families to obtain long term affordable housing which includes practical support such as transport, brokerage, food assistance, budgeting and emotional support, as well as strong advocacy within the relevant government systems including Housing, Health & Medical, Child Safety, Legal and Social (Centrelink). We manage 16 crisis accommodation properties with a small staff of 4 part time employees and a small number of dedicated volunteers.

Spanish Community Care Association

The Spanish Community Care Association (SCCA) is a non-profit incorporated and benevolent association with DGR status, to meet the specific needs of disadvantaged, with financial issues, of senior and isolated members of the Spanish speaking community within the Sydney metropolitan area through our direct support services.

Our role in the community is aimed at providing welfare assistance, mental health care and support to our clients with particular emphasis placed on those who may be disadvantaged due to age, financial problems, physical and mental disability, language and communication barriers, isolated and/or lonely clients with limited access to social, financial and welfare support.

Spare Keys

Spare Keys is a groundbreaking charity that provides crisis accommodation, mental health support and essential technology services to Australia’s most vulnerable people. Our core focus is helping women and children who are victims of domestic violence and natural disasters.

We operate by unlocking unused resources that would otherwise go to waste, and making them available to those in need. It’s a win:win situation in which struggling women and children get crisis accommodation, computers, and leisure experiences to boost their mental health at a point of extreme adversity in their lives, and those with spare resources and unsold tickets can put them to good use.

Spare Keys funds the resources through donations, grants and fundraising efforts, and provides them directly to those in need, or through partners. Our service is literally life-changing for women and children escaping domestic violence situations and natural disasters.

Our courses cover many different topics such as mental health and wellbeing, leadership, healthy masculinity, female empowerment, equality and respectful relationships, positive parenting, and coaching.


SALT’s sessions are interactive, non-judgemental and engaging to participants. They are based on positive psychology and the latest research from the appropriate peak bodies. SALT has developed a unique Live Quiz platform that provides anonymous real-time feedback from session participants, often unveiling serious issues that can then be addressed.

Our students are offered a breakfast service each school day as a significant percentage do not have a substantial breakfast at home. Our families struggle with school fee payment and in providing a neat and tidy uniform.
A number of our students return home to families where they aren't able to receive support with their reading or studies and exposure to outings, excursions and after school or holiday recreational activities are limited.

Marillac House commenced operation in 2007 as a special work of the St Vincent de Paul Society. It was identified by Society members and the community that the provision of low-cost accommodation and support was greatly lacking for hospital patients, their families and carers. It was identified that those travelling quite long distances to access health services were the greatest affected. People living on King and Flinders Island, the far west coast, northwest and east coast of Tasmania, were impacted the most.
Our objectives are:
• To assist patients, carers and family members in times of health crisis, accommodating those people who are undergoing surgery, specialised treatment, emergency care and rehabilitation.
• To provide homely, low-cost accommodation in a supportive and caring environment.
• To provide our service in a confidential, respectful and caring manner.

Homelessness in Dandenong is second behind the city of Melbourne with 707 people registered as homeless. Dandenong is also running at 7% unemployment - well above the 5% state average.

Our Soup Vans offer food, social connection and referral pathways out of homelessness and poverty, to people experiencing or at risk of, homelessness and disadvantage.
Our soup van services are located in metropolitan and regional Victoria and undertake street service of meals to our friends on the street and people experiencing food insecurity in boarding and rooming houses, crisis accommodations, social housing and other residential locations.

The Vinnies Soup Vans are run by dedicated volunteers, known as Vannies, who annually provide over 700,000 meals to people in need. Our soup vans operate 365 days a year, rain, hail or shine!

We assist people in need with food, clothing, footwear, white goods, household items, blankets, linen, furniture such as beds, cupboards, tables and chairs, cutlery, crockery and more. We also assist with pharmacy, fuel, toiletries and ladies monthly needs. We get people coming to us for assistance for various reasons such as difficulty in paying electricity bills, domestic violence situations, homelessness, young people couch surfing and more.

St Vincent de Paul - Vinnies Support Centre - Crows Nest

Vinnies Support Centres are client-centered support and referral services operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society. They offer face to face support to those in the community who require financial, food or material assistance. The support teams will work with you to offer the best possible support for your needs and link you in with the Society's Conference home visitation teams or Vinnies Services.

We represent Our Lady of Miraculous Medal at Woody Point. 4019. We are not a retail SVDP shop, but we are Family Welfare and our conference goes out into our clients homes and assess their needs and listen to their requests. We try to help with food, Go Cards, clothes, furniture , accommodation. Other help we give paying registration if someone is living in their car or need the car to seek employment. We direct our clients to legal assistance, dental and medical assistance.

St Vincent de Paul QLD - Cordelia Street South Brisbane

A joint service offered by St Vincent de Paul QLD's Housing and Homelessness Programs Team and its subsidiary Tier 2 community housing provider, Vinnies Housing.
Cordelia Street South Brisbane accommodates supports women who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Four levels of transitional accommodation are provided for up to 48 single, adult women prioritising older women (55+) and expectant mothers. Three levels of long-term housing are provided to women with young families.
