Spinal Life Australia

In Australia one person every day sustains a traumatic and life-changing spinal cord injury.

It can cost more than $9 million to support someone after their injury. And there often isn’t enough funding to meet an individual’s needs, meaning gaps in service provision, or isolation from the community.

At Spinal Life Australia we understand physical disability, and the challenges families must cope with on a daily basis.

Our specialist therapies, support, employment and advocacy services are nationally recognised for bringing possibility back into people’s lives.

We are there from the time a person is first injured, providing useful experience, advice and guidance through our Peer Support program. That support continues during a person’s journey from hospital to home, and beyond.

We are committed to being there throughout a person’s lifetime, ensuring they can live independently, return to work, maintain social networks and live a life of quality.

St Vincent de Paul - Child and Family Program - Brisbane South

The FIS program is committed to helping parents deal with the challenges of family life, learn how to be the best parent they can be and enjoy good healthy and fulfilling relationships with their children. We visit family homes on a regular basis. We want to hear things from a parents point of view and want to know about their main concerns and those concerns of child safety. this way we can work together to come up with a plan to address the concerns so that parents can move on, achieve their goals and get to where they want to be as a family.

We believe that all children have the right to live safely and be nurtured and supported to achieve their full potential. We believe that fundamentally all parents want to do the right things by their children and we are committed to working with families and caregivers to help make this happen.

St Vincent de Paul - Coolum Beach

We are a small Conference in Coolum Beach. We don't have our own office in Coolum but we do have Members on a Mon-Fri roster who are available to give locals a helping hand. We do our own fund-raising locally and the funds we raise go to help local Coolum individuals and families who need a hand up.
