Bankstown Womens Health Centre

Bankstown Womens Health Centre (BWHC) are an independent, NGO, not for profit organisation run by Women for Women and their families. BWHC provide free health and wellbeing services, in a women's only safe space, and is one of 21 health centers in NSW, 6 being in Sydney. BWHC provide health and wellbeing services for women and their children who live in the Canterbury Bankstown local government area. BWHC provide trauma informed specialised services for women who may have experienced domestic family violence, assault, and other barriers and challenges in their life. As well as Counsellors, social workers, Dietician, legal services, women's health Doctor, BWHC also provide a weekly food share program, and other small groups and activities for Women and their children.

BANSIC

We are a member of Community Information and Support Victoria (CISVic), a network of agencies dedicated to supporting the local community through the provision of services that meet the short term needs of people, producing long term results.
BANSIC provides individuals and families with services such as Emergency Relief and Material Aid, Tax Help and with Utility debt assistance, advocacy, counselling, and support and information services. BANSIC clients live in the southern part of the City of Banyule, and experience substantial disadvantage and vulnerabilities. BANSIC also provides a referral service whereby clients can be referred to the most appropriate agency to assist with specific needs such as homelessness, mental health or drug and alcohol addiction.

Banyule Community Health Service

Banyule CHS provides the local community with mental and physical health supports including GP's, counselors, allied health workers and mental health support workers, legal assistance, dental, social workers, and is a one-stop shop in the community. There are 2 sites, West Heidelberg and Greensborough to service the Banyule catchment.

Baptist Care - Tara's Angels

Tara’s Angels provides support to women in the ACT who have experienced domestic and family violence with up to two years of post-crisis support, helping women to connect with local agencies and services, and rebuild their life. Our Tara’s Angels case workers walk with women, mentoring and empowering them with practical and reliable support after experiencing domestic violence. Angels are tertiary qualified social workers with experience in social work and help women to explore options that best support their needs. In 2016 we partnered with the Tara Costigan Foundation (TCF) to deliver this unique service to women in the ACT. Today, BaptistCare HopeStreet continues Tara’s legacy through Tara’s Angels, bringing hope and practical support to women who have experienced fear and violence.

Barnardos ACT

Barnardos Australia's Canberra Centre offers family support, out-of-home care and supported accommodation services for disadvantaged children, adolescents and their families in the ACT.

Programs and services offered in the Centre reflect the problems of Canberra, with a population of young families and increasing population group of adolescents. As the Canberra population has a broad cross section of people, Barnardos’ programs aim to target the most financially and socially disadvantaged.

The Canberra Centre has been operating for more than 40 years, during which time there have been many changes in program development. Most significantly has been the closure of residential units in favour of highly supported community based placements with carers and increased family support.

Barnardos ACT - Child, Youth and Family Support

Barnardos ACT - Our Place

Provide medium term transitional accommodation, support and case management for homeless young people aged 16 - 25 years, according to their individual needs.
We work together with children and families through our effective evidence-informed and research-based programs to break the cycle of disadvantage, creating safe, nurturing and stable homes, connected to family and community.

Barnardos Family Connect and Support - Cranebrook

Family Connect and Support (FCS) is a state-wide, voluntary service for children, young people and families, who need support to maintain a safe and positive family environment. It provides a soft entry point and connection to the service system for families who may be experiencing vulnerability or who require some level of support before issues escalate. It is an early intervention and prevention case coordination service aimed at helping families to identify their strengths and resources, and addressing underlying issues and risk. Barnardos Australia is the provider for FCS in the following districts: Western Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Sydney, South Eastern Sydney and Northern Sydney. We welcome families from all cultures and backgrounds, lands and communities. Barnardos Family Support - Cranebrook

Child protection agency working with vulnerable families who children are at risk of coming into the out of home care space. families are vulnerable and experience may issue such as domestic violence, AOD, mental health, poverty, homelessness and complex trauma.

Baw Baw Food Relief

Food Relief Charity located in the Baw Baw Shire.
Baw Baw Food Relief helps community members experiencing food insecurity through financial hardship providing nutritional food and personal products.
In the 2019 - 2020 financial year we assisted 950 families and individuals. Due to the influx of people relocating to our catchment area Baw Baw Food Relief are now helping people sleeping rough as well many new families.
We expect the pressure on our services will increase by 10-15% this financial year.
Baw Baw Food Relief is a Not for Profit organisation with 70 caring volunteers helping their community.

Baw Baw L2P

NFP that supports 16-21 year old learner drivers to overcome road blocks in achieving their 120 hours of supervised driving. Learners are matched with volunteer mentors for drives, following the graduated licencing system, supplying safe vehicles, and reducing other boundaries including glasses, safe footwear etc.
Partly funded by department of transport, we are required to fund the remaining 25-30% of program costs.

BayCISS

BayCISS is a not for profit community organisation providing an extensive range of services and programs for community members living in the Bayside and northern part of City of Kingston local government areas. In Hampton East, BayCISS provides essential supports including emergency relief, information, referral, advocacy and support for vulnerable, at-risk, homeless and low income community members. Emergency relief includes nutritious food parcels, prepared meals, food vouchers, MYKIs, pharmacy prescription vouchers, fuel cards, bill assistance, utility relief grant applications and even pet food. We utilise a strengths based approach to empower and support resilience whilst providing practical and emotional supports to address immediate crises. Our services including family counselling, programs and supports are free to enable access to all community members.

Bayside Community Emergency Relief Inc

BCER is a community driven 100% volunteer run not for profit registered charity mobilising the community in times of local & state emergencies where co ordinated community teamwork can help.
Due to the overwhelming success of the Bayside Community Emergency Relief Group during the 2020 bushfire emergency and at the request of numerous relief & official organisations BCER became a NFP charity in March 2020. This gives us more resources, support and possibilities moving forward. This is a call to action, future community events & information group.

Bendigo Community Health Services

We have cared for the Bendigo community since 1974. Our charter is supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable clients in the community. We also support new refugee families arriving in Australia, particularly from the Karen, Afghan and South Sudanese communities. Our main areas include medical practices, allied health (podiatry, diabetes and chronic disease management), child and family services, alcohol and other drugs support, counselling and mental health, Settlement Services.

Benwerren

Benwerren provides time out for women and children in need. Families come from all over Melbourne in varying circumstances: refuge, homeless, disadvantaged, family violence, family break-down, tired or worn out. Our aim is to provide a break (up to 2 weeks) in a caring, relaxed environment where they can rest, be safe, regenerate, reflect and be encouraged. We provide healthy home-cooked meals and a sense of family where everyone is valued. Trained and experienced staff offer care and support, linking with relevant agencies.

bestchance is a not for profit organisation that supports families with education, care and financial and practical assistance. We believe in empowering individuals through skilled purpose to achieve their goals resulting in stronger communities, healthier families and happier childhoods.

Beyond DV Ltd

Beyond DV is a Brisbane based charity working with families to help rebuild their lives after domestic and family violence. Our Bright Start program focuses on helping children transition into new schools when relocating from a domestic violence situation. Our Youth Program “HOPE 4 Life” provides a mentor program to help children aged 7-17 years heal from trauma. Our Time Out program allows DV survivors to take some time out of their busy, often stressful, lives to focus on their own healing. Our “HOPE Beyond DV”- Recovery Services Open Day, in collaboration with Brisbane Domestic Violence Service provides an opportunity for government and non-government organisations to come together as a “one stop shop” with a focus on providing Brisbane DV survivors with an efficient way to access recovery services in one place. Our Pathways to Hope, will give women the opportunity to build financial independence through counselling, mentoring, training and job placement.

Beyond Youth Justice

This service provides young people – who are engaged with youth justice services – support and assistance in the areas of rehabilitation and emotional wellbeing.

As well as community based individual support, each partner agency delivers workshops (such as psycho-social skills development) at Banksia Hill.
