YouthCARE - Tuart Rise Primary School

We are a school where children are at the forefront of everything we do. We value the whole child and believe children have a voice that should be heard. We believe in the importance of addressing both the academic needs and social emotional well-being of our students.

We believe strong home and school partnerships lead to improved student learning. We actively seek ways to enhance student learning and wellbeing by partnering with families and groups within the community. Parents and carers are recognised as integral partners in the children’s education.

We are staffed by a community of professionals. We value and respect the diversity of skills and knowledge we each bring to the school. We challenge and support each other to be effective educators and impact positively on the lives of all students within our school.

YouthCARE - Wickham Primary School

Our School Chaplain, based on site, supports the emotional and social well-being of children at school, their families and the school staff.
This regularly involves getting to know children and their families on a very personal level, particularly those children and families most vulnerable in our community, and helping them know what they need in order to attend school and develop the educational pathways.
Often these needs are quite practical BUT if they are met can really improve their general sense of well-being.
Our Chaplain coordinates this by providing social and emotional support and wellbeing; running classroom support programs, encourage individual support within finding self-identity, strong friendships, grief and loss relief, referrals internally and externally, as well as community engagement.
