At Life Without Barriers our purpose is to 'Partner with People and Change lives for the Better'. Every person that we work with has their own specific needs and the support we offer is sensitive and respectful to their choices as individuals.Our unique approach has enabled us to provide effective services that transcend traditional sector boundaries and reach more people with disabilities, vulnerable children and families, older people, refugees and asylum seekers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and others who are vulnerable to social exclusion, isolation and socio-economic disadvantage and enable people to live life without barriers, participate in society and live life to the fullest.

Life Without Barriers - Next Step Plus

Next Step Plus supports young people aged 15-25 years who are transitioning or who have transitioned from the care of the Department of Child Safety Queensland to live independently.

Hostel for homeless youths aged 17-22 years, with a mental heath diagnosis.

Not for profit organisation. Supports clients with mental health, disability, chronic health or other health condition that impacts them living independantly. We assist people in their homes and have social group activities for clients.

Lifeline - Canberra

Lifeline Canberra exists to support people in crisis and save the lives of those experiencing thoughts of suicide. For over 47 years Lifeline Canberra has provided the Canberra community with 24/7 crisis support via our local 13 11 14 service. Lifeline Canberra crisis supporters are highly skilled volunteers who listen with care and acceptance, whatever the circumstances and provide support and information to people in need.

Little Haven Palliative Care is a not for profit public benevolent institution and registered charity providing compassionate and professional palliative care to people that are dying and their families and friends in the Gympie and surrounding area.
A free at home hospice service, Little Haven supports about 400 people and their families annually.
Palliative care provides for the well being of a person with terminal illness, working to ensure dignity, peace and comfort for the person over the duration of his/her illness.
Palliative care is also concerned with the family and carers of the person with terminal illness, supporting them in the role in caring for the ill person and also dealing with their grief during the illness and after the bereavement.

We are a community centre that offers seniors groups, a communal garden. we have women's groups. workshops. food parcels Play Group Kids Club Social activities, Cultural Conversations and many other programs, we have a Hub which offers very reasonably prices clothing etc. to the community we are all inclusive and are open to all the community. Our centre provides a place to socialise, make friends, learn new hobbies and education. We offer a safe place to come and have a coffee and a chat when needed and our centre is very welcoming to all.

Lotus Support & Counselling Services Incorporated

Lotus is a NFP operated 100% by volunteers providing support for people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage through free / by donation counselling and a myriad of ways via outreach including provision of supplies to make life a bit more comfortable, phones if needed, help to complete forms for Housing / DSP, transport to medical appointments, socialisation, advocacy where needed, opportunity to work off court fines, and more dependent on participant need

Love in Action Broadford Incorporated

Each week we provide food, toiletries and cleaning goods to homeless and struggling people in our area.
Each Friday our volunteers make up boxes of fruit and vegetables for people who have made an appointment. They come in and choose items from the pantry stock, then take their fresh boxes. These people have been assessed as needy by the Ececutive of Love in Action Broadford. WE ask them to come in as that means they need to get up, get dressed and come into the Centre. Many of these have had their mental health improved as a result and are now volunteering to help us out regularly. If needed, we do deliver-people who are sick, who don't have a car etc. A cup of tea and a sit down with others usually takes place. At times we have items to give out free as well. WE give Easter, Christmas, gifts and supply the children with school stationery. WE do make sure they have connected with other support systems, that their rent taken out of their pension so they don't get behind with rent.

Luma is a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in women's health issues. These include medical, counselling, mental health, drug and alcohol support, parenting, domestic violence, community workshops, and professional training. Our programs and services are open to all West Australian women and their families, with consideration made for the unique needs of Aboriginal, migrant and refugee families. We have two central offices in Joondalup and Northbridge and also co-locate in some other areas, and creche and interpreting services are available.

Our purpose is to accelerate frontline healthcare across our regional and rural communities.
We believe we shouldn't be disadvantaged simply because we choose to live in a regional or rural location.
MHF strives to create a healthier future for our communities by inspiring and supporting the delivery of exceptional healthcare and enhancing the hospital experience.
In addition to the purchase of medical equipment, MHF also implements projects in support of our dedicated staff and our communities. These have included a wellness program for emergency department doctors who deal with trauma on a daily basis; and MHF has installed cultural gardens at our local hospitals for our diverse Indigenous population.
These types of projects along with innovative equipment help to improve health outcomes within our communities.
