To access donated items or services through GIVIT, please connect with a support organisation registered with GIVIT that can assess your needs and provide assistance. This organisation can then place a request on GIVIT on your behalf. Click here for more information on how to get support through GIVIT.

Good Omen Goodeze

'Good Omen Goodeze’ (GoG) is a local volunteer charity craft group providing knitted, crocheted and sewn lap rugs, quilts, beanies, bed socks, hospital gowns and many other comfort items to the Canberra Hospital and Health Services since May 2017. This includes patients of all ages and in all areas including ICU, crisis and end of life care. Blankets and other goods are also offered to grieving families in the case of their loved one’s passing and to families or individuals in need of warmth or comfort. All our ‘Goodeze’ are created using generous donations from our volunteers and the public. We have people of all ages and walks of life involved, from primary school and high school student programs, to community services, health practitioners, business people and retirees. GOG is fully endorsed by the Canberra Hospital Foundation.

Good Shepherd Australia and New Zealand - Brimbank

Good Shepherd in Melbourne Victoria is based across several locations. At the Brimbank Office we offer the following services:

Goomburrup Aboriginal Corporation

We are a not for profit Noongar community resource centre. We provide information and assistance to the Noongar community on a range of matters from Centrelink queries
to referral to legal advice. Each person who comes to our service has problems or issues so different that we deal with the majority of them through advocating, negotiating and
mediating on their behalf with govenment and non government agencies. We also run a women's and men's group by providing a place for them to gather and undertake activities, for example arts and crafts, sewing, wood work and social support. We run the Benang Suicide Prevention Program which is a community education program. The purpose of
Benang is to bring awareness about suicide and also provide community members with knowledge and skills to recognise suicidal behaviours and administer help to a person in
emotional distress until professional help arrives.We provide emergency relief through our Empty Pantry project.

Goondir Health Services is a non-profit organization. Wewww provide Health as well as Programs, we are located in Dalby, Oakey St George and Chinchilla. We provide Programs to all these communities. I work with the Big Buddy Program which is Participants aged between 12 to 17 we do a lot of cooking programs and provide personal items for the children that are in need most of the time. Wandir Gundi is a playgroup which young mothers can go CDP is cultural group where they do paintings and make Aboriginal art works. I also work with the ER Program, which is emergency relief for families, we go to Brisbane once a week and pick up food from Second bite, Fairshare and Foodbank we offer the community food hampers once a week, the numbers have grown over the years. We also help parents getting their children to school supplying books, pencils, bags, and there uniforms any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got Your Back Sista empowers women to thrive after leaving domestic violence. We are focused on providing services within the Hunter, Central Coast and Taree Regions.

Gracehouse

Grand Pacific Health - HASI

Financial hardship

The National Debt Helpine provides free, independent and confidential financial counselling via phone or live chat, Monday to Friday. You can call them on 1800 007 007.

Mob Strong Debt Helpline is a free advice service about money matters for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They can be contacted on 1800 808 488, Monday to Friday.

If you or someone else’s life is in danger, call Triple Zero 000.

You can access 24/7 crisis support by calling Lifeline on 13 11 14. You can also contact Lifeline via text or online chat.

You can talk to a counsellor 24/7 through Beyond Blue. You can also access brief counselling with Beyond Blue via online chat.

If you’re a young person aged 12-25, you can talk to a trained clinician, you can contact Headspace 7 days a week between 9am and 1pm by calling 1800 650 890 or via online chat.

 

First Nations Australians

If you’re a First Nations Australian and you are going through a tough time, you can call 13YARN (13 92 76) to talk with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander crisis supporter.

 

Children or young people experiencing hardship

Children and young people aged 5 – 25 can access support through Kids Helpline by calling 1800 55 1800 or through online chat 24/7.

 

People living with disability

The Disability Gateway is an Australian Government service to help people with disability, their family, friends and carers find the support they need. They can be contacted on 1800 643 787, Monday to Friday.

 

Refugees and asylum seekers

If you’re a refugee or asylum seeker and you need help, you can contact the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre on 03 9326 6066 Monday to Friday for support.

 

People struggling with addiction

The National Alcohol and Other Drug Hotline is a 24/7 service that provides free and confidential advice about alcohol and other drugs. You can call them on 1800 250 015.
