Greater Shepparton Lighthouse

Greater Shepparton Lighthouse was created in response to community concern about poor outcomes and persistent disadvantage and in 2014 was established to activate the whole community to wrap around and support our young people to realise their full potential and thrive.

Lighthouse is using an army of volunteers, data, collaboration, innovation and system thinking to support children every step of their trajectory, from conception to career.

We start by listening deeply, carefully unpacking the issues impacting on young people and their families and co-designing unique local solutions. Lighthouse taps into and aligns resources within our community and beyond to address issues such as social isolation, disadvantage and poor school engagement with a focus on the most pressing need such as food and safe spaces. It’s hard to learn if you are hungry. We also play a strong role in advocacy, lobbying, coordinating, partnering and delivering initiatives.

Medical service based in Mt Druitt providing a range of clinical and social and emotional well-being programs to the Aboriginal community. Please note that our service is auspiced by Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service,.

Green Connect

We employ former refugees and young people to do environmental work, helping them in what is usually their first job in Australia (or at all) and supporting them to transition into mainstream employment.

Greenhills Neighbourhood House

We are a not for profit, registered charity that is a community house in Greensborough, Melbourne.
We have 3 streams of business and the one we need LOTS of help with is our food relief. We are feeding well over 200 people from our FREE food relief room and need equipment and resources to keep it running.

Griffith University

Griffith University offers opportunities for long-term aged care residents who are lonely and isolated to participate in activities that connect them with 3rd year students studying and interested in the challenges confronting the elderly. One of the services involves students individually spending 1 to 2 hours per week meeting with their resident and recording their life story/biography over an 8-10 week period.

Gugan Gulwan Youth Aboriginal Corporation

Gugan Gulwan is an Aboriginal youth centre located in the ACT suburb of Wanniassa that provides programs and services across the ACT and surrounding region. Gugan Gulwan works within the community through a range of programs/services including case management that go well beyond the services provided by most youth centres. They include a Drug and Alcohol program, a Child, Youth and Family Support Program, Reconnect Program to support young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Gugan Gulwan gives support to parents and the family unit, focusing on skills development for young people.

Gulargambone Central School P & C

The P&C supports the school and it's students to ensure that a quality, rounded education is afforded by by all children in Gulargambone. Gulargambone Central School has 85% indigenous students and is in the bottom 1% of socioeconomically of all schools in Australia. This makes the role of the P&C at extremely important.

Gulargambone Preschool

Gulargambone Preschool is a not-for-profit community run preschool that provides education and care for children aged three to five years in and around our community. We have around 60% enrollments that identify at Indigenous and the majority of all other children are from farming families. It is a beautiful preschool that relies on state government funding to operate and a volunteer parent committee. We have been operating since 1975 and are currently in the process of building a brand new preschool thanks to funding. We provide support for parents and families and ensure children have access to services such as speech, occupational therapy, eyesight screeners and hearing screeners.

Gunawirra is a not-for-profit PBI organisation made up of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal professionals and specialists working side by side for Aboriginal young women, men and their children from the ages of 0 to 5.
