Our organisation provides free material aid to families living in the Goulburn Valley region which includes Shepparton. Material aid includes clothing, nappies, formula, blankets, nursery furniture, toiletries, bottles, dummies, feeding cups to name a few. We also provide pregnancy support case management to those in need.

Carrie's Place Domestic Violence and Homelessness Services Inc.

We have 2 Services. The Specialist Homelessness Service assists both single people and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with advocacy and information and case management. There is accommodation through the refuge (women and children only), Supported Accommodation (single people and families) and transitional properties (single people and families). They also provide outreach support and may assist with emergency relief and brokerage so certain items.
The Domestic Violence program assists women who have or are experiencing domestic violence to make Police reports, take out AVOs, assist with safety planning and provide support at court through the Hunter Valley Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service, provide case management through the Staying Home Leaving Violence program.

CatholicCare - ASSIST Program

ASSIST (Aiding in Secure, Safe, Independent and Stable Tenancies) is an outreach program for those who are homeless or at risk of being homeless who are over 18 years that can help you. ASSIST Case Managers provide individualised support, information, referral and advocacy to people who require help to sustain their tenancy or assistance to obtain or transition to independent and stable accommodation.

CatholicCare - Axial Housing First Program

A new program offering people in the ACT, with complex needs that include chronic homelessness a property that will include ongoing case management. The program is unfunded so there is limited scope to provide furniture and household goods.

CatholicCare - Hands On Studio

Founded in 1996, Hands On Studio has become a leader in the field of arts and disabilities in the Canberra region. The program has developed a model for a creative community guided by the principle that art is fundamental to human expression and that all people are entitled to its tools of communication. Over the years, the artists who attend the program on a weekly basis have collaborated with their peers as well as local and interstate artists to extend their practice, develop an individual style and foster a sense of community. The ages of the artists who attend the program range from 17-92, a very broad cohort with different life experiences and varying wants, needs, and desires which are supported at Hands On Studio.

CatholicCare - Reaching Out Program

The CatholicCare Reaching Out Program provides free alcohol and drug counselling to young people aged 13-18 years. Our Counselling sessions are provided through outreach, which means rather than having to come to us, we can meet you in a place where you feel most comfortable; be it your school, community centre, or work place.
Our counsellors understand that being lectured about Drugs and Alcohol is not necessarily what you need. The Reaching Out Program is an opportunity to talk with someone who is qualified to help you figure out what works best for you.
We also offer support for families and friends of people impacted by alcohol and other drugs.

CatholicCare - Reconnect Program

The program, which is funded by the Department of Social Services, uses community based interventions to assist young people aged 12-18 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and their families to help stabilise their living situation, achieve family reconciliation and improve their level of engagement with education, work and their local community. Reconnect Case Workers offer counselling, mediation, group programs and practical support to the whole family to break the cycle of homelessness. CatholicCare has been providing this vital program across Canberra and regional NSW (Young, Boorowa, Canowindra, Grenfell, Moloney, West Wyalong and surrounds) since 1996.

CatholicCare - STEPS

CatholicCare and ACT Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) work in partnership to operate STEPS. The STEPS Program provides 24 hour residential support to young people aged 13 to 18 years who have moderate to severe mental illness. The program is a step up/step down model working within a case management framework to assist young people to identify recovery goals and work towards these with their CAMHS clinician and their other supports, including family. The program services young people from across the whole of the ACT.

CatholicCare is a not for profit organization offering Early Intervention services, Counselling & other support programs. The Taree & Forster Community Kitchens provide nutritious meals to vulnerable people in the community Mondays to Fridays. CCCares@Canberra College

CCCares @ Canberra College is a program for pregnant and parenting students from the ACT and surrounding districts.
CCCares provides flexible delivery of learning and content, towards the receipt of an ACT Year 12 Certificate and certified competency based training.
We offer continuous enrolment over the year to cater for the needs of the community. Our current enrolment is 142 students with approximately the same number of children involved with the program.
Our students are aged between 14 and 28 and have varying needs, life experiences, attendance patterns and levels of proficiency in all areas. We give our students access to industry specific courses and the provision of appropriate pathways and qualifications to allow them to develop the necessary skills and personal strengths they need to become marketable and employable and move towards financial independence in the future.

Centacare Carnarvon offers case management and focuses on keeping Families together. Case management allows us to offer clients support and advocacy as well as give our clients somewhere to come when they are in need. We assist clients with support for Housing and assisting clients to find stable tenancies within the locality of Carnarvon. We also have the capacity to refer clients to much needed services within the community and assist and support them to attend these services. We look to seek Community donations to assist our clients who are in need. We run Community based programs that offer support and advocacy as well and build solid community networks.
