Centacare has been a significant part of the social services landscape in South East Queensland for more than 60 years. During this time, we have continued to grow and evolve, along with the needs of the community to which we belong.
Centacare reaches out to those in our local communities in South East Queensland through a range of practical services for all people including the most disadvantaged and marginalised in society.
When you support Centacare, you provide care for persons suffering with mental and physical disabilities, those who are homeless, families experiencing violence in the home, seafarers, and the lonely in prisons and hospitals.
We have now reached another important milestone, with a new look for our communication and new ways to share the Centacare story.
With our history steeped in the Catholic tradition, we believe in offering loving care to all members of our community. For our people this means offering a listening ear, refraining from judgement and treating and caring for others as we would like to be treated and cared for ourselves. It is also why for many years our people have shown a shared commitment to doing whatever they can to ensure that everyone in their communities is not just cared for, but cared about, in ways that help them live their fullest lives.

Helping people in financial crisis by providing financial or material aid and connecting them to services to build financial resilience and capability.

Centacare FNQ

Centacare FNQ, as the social services agency of the Diocese of Cairns has been
supporting the community of Far North Queensland since 1981. Initially offering
relationship education and counselling services, today Centacare FNQ provides a
range of community and social services within the areas of Mental Health and
Wellbeing, Multicultural Services, and Aged Care and Disability Support. Mental Health
and Wellbeing services provides counselling for individuals, families, and children, and
Coaching for people with psychosocial disabilities. NDIS services are offered to NDIS
participants with psychosocial disabilities including Support Coordination where
linkages to appropriate supports assist participants to reach their goals as identified in
their NDIS plans. Multicultural Services assist newly arrived migrants and humanitarian
entrants with a broad range of settlement services in addition to community
development, education and training, and activities for people from culturally and
linguistically diverse communities. Aged Care and Disability Support is offered through
the Social Wellbeing Hub, which offers centre based respite to eligible younger people
with a disability and eligible frail, older people to support them to continue to live
independently in their community. Centacare FNQ continues to seek ways to meet
emerging need as well as opportunities to work in partnership, to ensure we continue
to support our community to thrive.

Centacare Kimberley - Broome

Emergency Relief, we offer people facing financial hardship access to food, home goods and clothing vouchers.
Breakfast Program offers a free nutritional meal on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from to individuals, couples and families who are facing financial hardship and/or are homeless.
Homeless Outreach Service works with people sleeping rough in the Broome region to support them to secure and maintain long term accommodation.
Intensive Housing Support Program offers families, who have been referred by the Housing Authority, assistance to move from Aboriginal Communities into Derby or Broome.
Mental Health Support Service works with people living with a mental illness with a primary focus on helping them to secure stable accommodation.
In partnership with Broome Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation crisis accommodation.

Centacare Outer North Youth Homelessness Service

Centacare’s Outer North Youth Homelessness Service (Youth Services Elizabeth) provides case management, early intervention, outreach, post-crisis and wait-list support to young people aged 15-25 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Services are delivered across the Playford, Gawler and Barossa regions. Emergency and intensive accommodation support for young people aged 15-18 years who are living homeless is provided at Carlow Place, a 24-hour supported core-and-cluster residential facility at Elizabeth.

For over 40 years, Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (Congress) has provided support and advocacy for Aboriginal people in the struggle for justice and equity.

We are one of the most experienced Aboriginal primary health care services in the country, a strong political advocate of closing the gap on Aboriginal health disadvantage and a national leader in improving health outcomes for all Aboriginal people.

Central Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Unit (CAAFLU) Aboriginal Corporation

Established in 2000, CAAFLU is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO). We provide culturally appropriate, holistic, trauma-informed legal services and casework support services to Aboriginal people experiencing domestic, family, and/or sexual violence (DFSV), predominantly women. We are the only organisation in Central Australia/the Barkly dedicated exclusively to assisting Aboriginal victim-survivors of DFSV and the only DFSV-specific legal service in the region. Our primary function is to provide culturally appropriate, high quality, confidential legal advice and casework, court representation, information, assistance, advocacy, case management support and referrals. We also deliver community-led early intervention and prevention programs (EIP), community legal education (CLE) and undertake policy and law reform work.

Central Australian Affordable Housing Company

Located on Arrernte country, CAAH is an Aboriginal controlled, not-for-profit, Registered community housing provider in Alice Springs / Mparntwe. We provide social and community housing to people who are in low income group .

Our strategies to meet this purpose are:

Creating new affordable developments and community housing options
Promoting and advocating for the ‘community housing sector’ in Alice Springs
Applying best practice tenancy and asset management

Central Coast Community Women's Health Centre

Who is CCCWHC?

We are the largest women-focused charity and longest-serving provider of physical and mental healthcare services for women on the Central Coast. Established in 1976, our mission is to provide safe and healthy futures for all women and girls in our community.

We operate from three locations — Wyoming, Wyong, and Woy Woy — offering free or low-cost health and support services for women across the region. Our tailored programs focus on breaking cycles of violence, intergenerational trauma, and social disadvantage.

Who do we help?

Last year, CCCWHC helped close to 3,000 women and their children on 8,815 occasions through our women’s health and community nurse clinics, counselling and casework, and therapeutic and social groups. This included 1803 new women, speaking to the growing need for these services in our region.

Central Coast Kids in Need Incorporated

We are a small volunteer group of approximately 18 members, we have no paid employees, we get no government assistance and are a not for profit organisation established 28 years ago. Central Coast Kids in Need assist local families with accommodation costs to stay with their sick children while undergoing specialised treatment in Sydney/Newcastle hospitals we also assist with high cost prescription items, specialised formula’s, quality of life equipment and travel expenses.
A large proportion of these children are cancer patients, premi babies with life threatening health issues, bone marrow transplants, organ transplants, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, Autism and ADHD and children with disabilities.

Central Highlands Rural Health

Central Highlands Rural Health services Macedon Ranges Shire and Hepburn Shire. We have rural Hospitals in Kyneton and Daylesford, Residential Aged Care in Daylesford, Trentham and Creswick and operate Community Aged Care services and Community Health services across the region. Our Community Health services provide a range of low cost or free (mostly government funded) support to local residents, including for drug and alcohol issues, financial, housing, disaster relief and other social issues, and mental health support for residents and local schools.

Central Land Council

The Central Land Council represents and provides services to Aboriginal traditional owners and residents of Central Australia.

Aboriginal people collectively own more than 417,000 square kilometres of inalienable freehold land across the southern half of the Northern Territory.

The CLC supports them by;

advocating with them and on their behalf;
helping them to claim back their country and manage it;
assisting them with the economic development of their land;
promoting community development and improving service delivery;
consulting with landowners on employment, development, mining and other land use proposals;
protecting Aboriginal culture and sacred sites;
fighting for the legal recognition of Aboriginal people's rights;
helping to resolve land disputes, native title claims and compensation cases;
administering permits to visit Aboriginal land.

Central Queensland Indigenous Development

Central Queensland Indigenous Development has a number of programs that work with vulnerable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. Programs include:
Family Wellbeing - working with families to prevent children entering the child protection care system;
Foster & Kinship Care - supporting Foster and Kinship Carers and children placed in their care;
Homeless to Housing - supporting individuals and families to access and maintain secure and safe housing;
Ngudyu Yadaba - supporting children and young people to engage in education and lifestyle choices that are conducive to positive adult outcomes;
Drug and Alcohol Programs - supporting adults to address substance misuse issues so as to be able to contribute positively to community.

Central Queensland Indigenous Development - Hervey Bay

CQID – Central Queensland Indigenous Development is a community controlled organisation dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Our Hervey Bay office offers a free service that aims to improve the social, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in their homes, families and community reduces the risk of our children entering or re-entering the child protection system.

Central West Suicide Prevention Network

Our objectives are,
1. To raise awareness and reduce stigma within the community of issues relating to suicide and mental health

2. To recognise, accept and support vulnerable people affected by mental illness, suicide and/or self-harming behaviour

3. To provide support services and information to those individuals and families who have been directly impacted by suicide

4. To develop programs to build the capacity and resilience of vulnerable individuals and promotion of positive help seeking behaviour

5. To address issues leading to suicide and self-harming behaviour with those individuals suffering distress, misfortune or helplessness and refer them to appropriate support services

6. To promote, educate and train individuals, carers and the community in suicide prevention, intervention, postvention and self-harming behaviour

7. To research, develop and implement strategies for the prevention of suicide

Central West Women's Health Centre Inc.

Central West Women’s Health Centre is a community based, non-government organisation run by and for women. We are a public benevolent institution providing a direct service to disadvantaged women and children, many of whom have experienced domestic and family violence, sexual assault, financial hardship, mental and other health issues, or insecure housing situations.

Centre Against Sexual Violence

A not-for-profit support and organisation for women and girls from the age of 12 who have experienced sexual violence at any time in life and their supporters. We also offer community education and group work, and advocacy through the court system.

Centre Education Programme

The Centre Education Programme is a flexible learning centre delivering alternative education options for young people who are marginalised from mainstream education and society. Students range in age from 13 - 18 years, including First Nations young people. Their stories are many and varied but all have a deep sense of social dislocation at their heart. Every young person that chooses to study with The Centre Education Programme receives individual attention, focus and acceptance.

Centre for Accessibility Australia

The Centre for Accessibility Australia (CFA Australia) is an award-winning not-for-profit organisation that promotes accessibility throughout Australia. Our current focus is the incorporation of digital accessibility, so that people with disabilities can have equal access to technology and the internet. Founded in 2018, the Centre was established to promote the accessibility movement through advocacy, research, training services, auditing services and celebrations such as the Australian Access Awards.

The Centre For Accessibility Australia (CFA Australia) receives requests from individuals with disability, the families and carers for computer equipment to help overcome digital access issues. Centre for Asylum Seekers and Refugees and Detainees - CARAD

CARAD - Coalition for asylum seekers, refugees and detainees is a non-profit organisation working with refugees and asylum seekers living in Western Australian.

The Centre for Men and Families exists to create a safe community for men to connect, learn, be loved, and belong, so that they can journey deeper and experience transformation of the heart and bring the gift of who they truly are into the world, moving from being a source of dysfunction to a source of life and fulfillment for themselves, their families and our society.

Centrecare - Cannington

Centrecare offers extensive outreach and specialised counselling services, both in the metropolitan and regional areas of Western Australia and currently provides more than 65 services, delivered from 10 branches.

Centrecare - Cannington/Armadale Family Support Network

Family Support Network is a common entry point for families to access supports in their local community, including (but not limited to); parenting skills and education, budgeting, routines, safety, home hygiene, support with housing, mental health services. The Intensive Case Management service is in-home parenting support for caregivers.

Centrecare - Centrecare Family Accommodation Service

Centrecare’s Family Accommodation Service provides support and medium-term housing for families experiencing homelessness (up to 12 months) and also support to overcome the difficulties families may currently be experiencing in keeping a home. Centrecare works with the family, and extended family to develop a support plan that works for them. Centrecare staff meet with the families weekly to develop and implement support plans aimed at addressing the skills required to maintain a tenancy and connect families with other appropriate services they may require.

Centrecare - Midland/Perth Family Support Network

We provide in-home support to vulnerable families at risk of Child Protection Intervention. We are a parenting support service, servicing families with children 0-17.

We provide services such as counselling, housing support services, youth outreach and family dispute resolution.

Centrecare - Perth

With a history dating back to the 1940's, Centrecare is a Catholic not-for-profit, community services organisation with over 300 staff delivering professional counselling, support, mediation and training services throughout the Perth metropolitan, Goldfields, Esperance and South West regions of Western Australia. We offer accommodation support services, counselling, family and domestic violence services, gambling help, financial counselling, family law mediation, indigenous, migration, youth and justice services.

CF Together

CF Together is committed to changing the future of cystic fibrosis (CF) in Australia. Working tirelessly with the CF community to support their needs in everything we do, we aim to advance treatment and improve the lives of every Australian living with CF, and their families and carers.
We offer grants, subsidies, case management and individual advocacy through case managers in NSW and VIC alongside a national CF Helpline. We are also engaged in systemic advocacy and research activities.

CFSS WA - Gascoyne Women Refuge

The refuge provides accommodation for women, with or without children, either at risk of or experiencing homelessness due to family or domestic violence or other forms of crisis.

CFSS WA Ltd

CFSS WA LTD has been providing services since 1989, including management and recovery from trauma in the community of Carnarvon, with outreach into the surrounding Gascoyne Region commencing 26 years ago.

The service is free and can offer services to people for Financial Counselling, Men's Anger Management Counselling, Sexual Assault Response Service, Gascoyne Women's Refuge, Public Tenancy, Sobering up Centre, Protective Behaviours, Refuge Mobile Outreach Service

Challenge Community Services

We provide Supported Independent Living (also known as group homes), as well as Assistance with Daily Living (or drop-in support). When you join our Day Programs we can also help you with important life skills like cooking, learning how to use a computer or getting a job. If you simply want to relax, have fun and make new friends, you can come along to one of our many activities or events.

Challis Community Primary School

We are a large primary school in a disadvantaged suburb with high levels of unemployment and single parent families. We support children and their families from birth through our parenting centre.

We work with the local community to support families.
The Champion Centre hosts a range of community based programs for the Aboriginal members of our community, playgroups, service agencies and is also available for hire for any function.
