Circle of Friends Australia Inc

Circle of Friends (COFA) is an umbrella organization which oversees the operations of affiliate circles of friends, all of which are dedicated to the care and support of refugees and asylum seekers. Each affiliate circle has its own objectives and is usually made up of a local group of people with a common goal.

COFA provides both non-material aid (mentoring, friendship, transport to medical appointments etc and material aid (rent, utilities, food, groceries, pharmaceutical bills, clothing and other essential items).

Since Covid, COFA is receiving increasing numbers of requests for basic living support from a cohort of asylum seekers (ex-Manus and Nauru and those who came to Aust. by boat in prior to 2014) who have no access to social security and no employment (or insufficient employment to make ends meet). Possessing only temporary visas of short duration, these people find it very difficult to find work and if they do, it tends to be casual, insecure and/or seasonal.

Cityhope Care Programs reach over 150 frontline locations in our community, providing free the following immediate and practical resources:
Emergency Hampers of Hope provide food and household goods to families in need. These relief hampers regularly include items such as  frozen meals, bread, nappies, household, and various toiletries including toilet paper, laundry detergent  and many other items
Cityhope Care Packs are provided to frontline workers responding to individuals leaving DFV, children at risk of harm/abuse entering care or families facing unexpectant health/medical/family crisis. These packs are tailored to suit presenting need
Homeless/Vulnerable Persons Relief provide new clothing/sleeping rough toiletries, and food relief
Shine Program provide skills development/empowerment program/resources for girls in schools in local lower socioeconomic demographic areas. Students to potentially benefit from this program are identified and referred by teacher and funded by Care

CityLife Community Care

We are a not for profit charity serving the Knox community through a variety of free or low cost services. We provide food parcels, vouchers, Telstra Bill Assistance, Utility assistance, financial assistance, material assistance, counselling and psychological services, COACH mentoring and other mentor programs, community meal programs and a variety of connection groups to those who are low income and vulnerable within our community.

Civic Assist

Civic Assist is a Toowoomba based not for profit organisation. We partner with our local community to offer unique, targeted programs and initiatives that complement existing services. We exist to see people empowered to live life well and enjoy a better tomorrow.
Civic Assist has been actively involved in our local community for many years and our service to the Toowoomba Community has grown to include a number of programs and activities e.g., Youth Outreach programs in CBD and Schools, Safe Night Precinct Assertive Outreach & Rest and Recovery services, emergency assistance and affordable clothing and household goods through the Support Centre.
Yearly project such as Winter Warmth and Back to School provide much needed support to families who are doing it tough.

Civic Assist has adopted a collaborative approach working closely with community committees, peak agencies and collaborative groups to address issues such as family and domestic violence, child safety,

Coen Community Safety

Coen is a small town of approximately 450 residents, 85% of which are aboriginal. The town is located approximately 500km north of Cairns along the Peninsula developmental Road which is mainly dirt road. This charity will be assisting local families with obtaining items to assist with general road safety. In particular Officers from Coen Police and Coen Queensland Ambulance will working in conjunction with one another to provide items like Bike Helmets and baby seats to families whom otherwise could not afford to purchase them due to there remote location and financial situation.

Cohealth Homelessness Program

We provide advice and support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Melbourne's West. We can support people on a short or medium term basis to learn how to navigate the service system and advocate on their behalf. We can also work with clients to assess any chronic concerns for physical or mental health and refer to suitable services and look at ways to reduce harm of any substance use.

Collective Hope Community Services

It all started in 2014 when a group of people from a local church in Midland saw that there were homeless persons in the eastern suburbs of Perth who needed help. A supported living home was then established in Kalamunda which then developed into a second home being established in Midland not long after. During this time we identified that many of these individuals had undiagnosed disabilities which reflected the need for 24/7 supported living.

To address this, Collective Hope Disability Services was established in 2019 as an accredited NDIS provider primarily offering supported independent living to people across the greater Perth area.

Fast forward to 2020 and Collective Hope continues to grow and now offers a full-suite of supports in the disability sector throughout the Perth metro area.

Colville Lodge Ltd

Colville Lodge provides affordable 24/7 Level 3 supported accommodation to people from 30 to 75 years of age who are unable to manage their lives sufficiently to cope with independent housing. Residents receive accommodation, meals, medication support, cleaning and washing. The target resident market are people with mental health conditions including epilepsy, schizophrenia, bipolar, behaviour issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder and those with intellectual disabilities.

We collect and store food in a mini mart type of environment to give freely to people in need.
We identify underlying problems and link clients into agency supports when required
For long term support we also offer a free budgeting service that educates, supports and encourages people to enjoy a level of independence and confidence in themselves.
