Community Plus+ - Annerley Community Service

Annerley Community Service delivers community development programs in Annerley and surrounding suburbs.

We aim to build strong and active communities through connecting people, supporting and resourcing community projects.

Annerley Community Service supports local residents, community groups, organisations and businesses to undertake community initiatives, projects and events.

We offer a range of programs to create strong and active communities including:

Community Plus+ - West End Community House

West End Community House (WECH) actively contributes to building stronger, connected communities within West End and surrounding suburbs (the Kurilpa Peninsula).

Established in 1983 under the auspice of West End Uniting Church, now part of Community Plus+. WECH also operates the Kurilpa Kiosk at People’s Park in bustling Boundary Street.

We are passionate about building community by providing a space for people to meet, use our facilities, create connections, learn new things and access support.

We offer a range of programs to create strong and active communities including:

Community Plus+ - Yeronga Community Centre

The Yeronga Community Centre has been providing a helping hand to the local community since we opened our doors in September 2012.

Grown from the efforts of the Yeronga Flood Recovery Centre – a local community initiative that responded locally to the Brisbane Floods of 2011.

Now we continue that tradition by providing a friendly space for people to meet, use our facilities, create connections, learn new things and access support.

We offer a range of programs to create strong and active communities including:

Computer and printing assistance
Community breakfasts
Social events

Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia

CRSA is a new Australian charity working at the forefront of civil society efforts to encourage and support the establishment of a community refugee sponsorship program that would expand and improve Australia’s humanitarian migration program.

While working towards this goal, CRSA is also coordinating a ‘Group Mentorship Program’ (GMP) which is mobilising, screening and training local volunteer groups of everyday Australians across the country to provide practical support to newly arrived refugee households.

Community Restorative Centre

We are the lead provider of specialist throughcare, post-release, and reintegration programs for people transitioning from prison into community in NSW. We support people transitioning from prison into the community, particularly those who are at risk of homelessness and have difficulty accessing mainstream alcohol and other drug services. We support families of people in prison and can offer financial support for those travelling long distances to visit relatives in prison. We offer support to people attending 16 local courts in NSW through 50 trained volunteers. We present arts and music workshops in select prisons in NSW, and produce Jailbreak, a weekly radio program that talks about health issues for people in prison and connects prisoners to the community through stories, music and poetry. We provide practical information and referrals to anyone impacted by the criminal justice system. All of our programs aim to break entrenched cycles of disadvantage, offending and imprisonment.

Community Support Centre Innisfail Inc

Community Solutions Group (CSG) continued to provide programs and services to relieve disadvantaged, suffering, distress, misfortune, disability and/or helplessness and work proactively to enhance the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of people in regional communities. Based in Queensland, CSG became part of the Endeavour Foundation group of organisations in 2014. It is estimated that CSG assisted 9,000+ clients and their families in the 2015-156 financial year. CSG also successfully delivered the following major contracts: jobactive, Disability Employment Services, National Disability Coordination Officer, Personal Helpers and Mentors, Time for Change and others, all directly related to stated organisational objectives.Clients benefited from the positive and innovative approach to service delivery and accessed additional services via a diverse portfolio of services and active client referral processes. For example, our clients, particularly those who are most disadvantaged that may initially present for counselling services can then access case-management, training and/or employment programs. Client groups include (but are not restricted to) young people (including at-risk), indigenous, seniors, ex-offenders, families and those with mental health and substance abuse issues.

Community Support Frankston

Community Support Frankston is a not for profit volunteer based community organisation that provides comprehensive Emergency Relief and personal support to people experiencing crisis as the result of disadvantage. Our organisation has been established for over 50 years and remains the largest provider of Emergency Relief in the Frankston region.
Our organisation assists those most disadvantaged in the community with food vouchers, food parcels, fuel vouchers, fruit and vegetables, non-perishable food, essential medication, bill payment, registration, vehicle repairs, meal vouchers, etc, together with other basic essentials.

Community Support Services

We provide engaging programs and a platform for social cohesion, particularly for those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Nationalities. Many initiatives to meet the need of the most vulnerable in our community.

Companion House Assisting Survivors of Torture and Trauma Incorporated

Companion House is non-government community based organisation. We work with adults and children who have sought safety in Australia from persecution, torture and war related trauma. We believe that people who have survived torture, trauma and human rights violation should have access to services that respect, empower and promote recovery.

Compassion North Inc

Provides nutritious food to the needy of our community and provides emergency support - all free of charge. Also has three Men's Sheds to cater for retirees; community counselling service.

We are a not for profit " occasional" childcare service, We work closely with families in our community and support those that are vulnerable or in need.

Conflict Resolution Service

As a charity organisation CRS deeps costs low to ensure the Canberra region can access services they require in a time of need
CRS is a not-for profit Organisation that has been supporting the Canberra Region in Despute Resolution Services for 30 years.
Our services include family dispute resolution, community mediation, crisis mediation to prevent youth homelesssness and conflict coaching for families and individuals. CRS also provides community education, workplace consultations, training and professional development for individuals and organisations.

Connect Family Support Program - Broadbeach State School

We support children with social and emotional development through life's challenges. We support our case load made up of the schools families, who are having identified issues with mental health, addiction, homelessness, disability and lack of resources. We supply second hand uniform, facilitate access other services to support the needs of our families and meet their identified goals. We can also support with needs such as funding for school excursions and clubs such as dance, and supply a tuckshop lunch to children when the family can not meet these needs.

Connect Kids Inc

Our charter is to lift children out of the cycle of intergenerational disadvantage. We do what ever it takes , for as long as it takes to lift a child from "survivinh to thriving".
Often that maes working with the families in the back ground to resolve the larger issues.
Much of what we do involves advocating for the rights of children and their families.
We are funded from the genersity of those in the community.

Connect2Group is a non for profit disability support organisation. We offer a variety of support and services to clients with intellectual disabilities in both supported accommodation and through out Lifestyle Options day service. We are seeking items to be donated for some of our clients who we provide support for in supported accommodation.

Connections Inc

Connections is a not-for-profit community service organisation that provides individual and group support, training, programs and advocacy in the support of mental health and wellbeing. Connections has been delivering service in the Caboolture, and surrounding suburbs, since 2003. Connections also understands and values the need for activities, information, workshops and intervention and prevention strategies to be delivered within the community that assists people to understand and manage their own mental health and wellbeing. This year Connections expanded its services by opening a Training and Wellness Centre in King Street, Caboolture. This centre is designed to provide an opportunity for all community members to access training and programs that will; build competency and knowledge in managing the impacts of mental ill health, building skills and capacity within the human services sector and addressing the need for holistic support.

Contact Inc

Contact’s purpose is to address the impacts of isolation on children, families and communities regardless of cultural background. Isolation is defined as those who lack reasonable and reliable access to other people, services and resources and have no regular links with other families and children. Reducing the impacts of isolation can help mitigate poverty and disadvantage experienced by young children.

Working predominately in rural and remote regions across Australia, Contact addresses the impacts of isolation by engaging directly with families, carer’s agencies and all levels of Government to provide services that are delivered in ways that best fit local child and family need. The organisation utilises its extensive networks, and experiences to develop and implement place-based local creative solutions by partnering with families, communities and local/regional services.

Coodjingburra HOME Pty Ltd

Coodjingburra Helping Our Mob Everywhere (HOME) is an Indigenous led organisation facilitating greater social outcomes for First Nations people through housing, by creating tenant independence and self-determination. We are culturally connected to this region and are fully aware of our cultural obligations to our Community, through our Bundjalung heritage and bloodlines.

Since 2015, we have provided high quality, housing solutions across nine properties in the
Northern Rivers with the expansion of a further 10 properties this year, to take the total number of properties we manage to nineteen. We have transitioned 20% of our clients into home ownership and supported 10% to purchase their home from the AHO.

We create a culturally safe and secure environment for our Mob, while working with a range of services and stakeholders to support our clients in all areas of their life. We embed a holistic approach to each individual’s health, cultural wellbeing and needs.

COOEE Indigenous Family and Community Education Centre

COOEE is a Not For Profit community based Indigenous organisation situated in Redlands City. We work with vulnerable and impoverished young people and families. We provide cultural support, advocacy and cultural education. We have been in operation for over 18 years. We would be truly grateful for any help. We have a small team but try our best to help make changes for our present and future generations. We work in a holistic manner, in the areas of Housing, Health, Education and Justice.

Coolabaroo Housing Service

Coolabaroo Housing Service is a transitional Aboriginal Housing Service for homelessness and the prevention of homelessness within the Aboriginal community under the NHHA program. We head-lease fifteen properties from the Department of Communities - Housing. We have five three bedroom properties,four four bedroom properties, one three bedroom unit and five two bedroom units. These are all basic properties that come without furnishings.
When we accommodate our clients, staff spend many hours running around trying to locate furniture and all household goods for our client. When our clients come to us, most of them arrive with only the clothes on their back. Our clients are case managed for the length of their tenancies. This allows for them to address some of the issues that have contributed to their current situation. It also prepares them for permanent housing at a later date, and a guide on how to maintain a successful tenancy in the future.

Coolamon Community

Coolamon Community’s purpose is to make a real difference at the very start life for an Aboriginal child and for their mother. We are there to support their journey.
We do this by connecting that mother with Aboriginal Health Service (AHS) midwives, support workers, and AMIHS midwives through the gift of the Coolamon Crib.
At Coolamon Community we seek to keep babies with mothers and family, improve pregnancy, birthing and infancy health outcomes, actively support the unique Aboriginal mothering experience and empower women to make informed and respected decisions about their pregnancy.

Cooloongup Primary School

Cooloongup Primary School is an innovative and inclusive school, with dedicated and enthusiastic staff working to provide an environment in which children may grow and develop. 2015, was our inaugural year as an Independent Public School. We continually strive to deliver the best possible education for each student. The school prides itself on the variety of programs it offers to address the educational and personal growth needs catering for a wide range of student interest and abilities. We are also very proud of the high quality learning environment we are continuing to develop with the support of our school community.

Cooma North Public School

We are a NSW Public School providing for students Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school has been providing additional counselling services for both students and their families, social and emotional wellbeing classes and other therapy sessions.

Coomera State Special School

Coomera State Special School is a new special school that opened on the Gold Coast in 2022. We are a state school that supports students from years Prep to 12. All students have a severe intellectual impairment, with many supporting additional impairments.

Coonamble Neighbourhood Centre Inc

Coonamble Neighbourhood Centre provides information & referral to the Coonamble community, emergency relief services & provides assistance with the NILS application process.

Cooperating Parish of Croajingolong

We are the only church in the area east of Orbost - with centres in Cann River & Mallacoota, and an opshop in Mallacoota that since the fires has been a major place of giving goods to those in need as well as providing pastoral and practical assistance.
We are engaged with the wider community and groups and have a voice at the Recovery Management Team, and have been active in identifying needs and delivering goods, food parcels and funds to individuals and groups.

Supports Survivors of Cootamundra Domestic and Training Home for Aboriginal Girls - their families and descendants to meet their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Core Community Services - Early Intervention & Prevention Program

The Youth Early Intervention and Prevention Team is part of our youth homelessness program called UpFront. It focuses on assisting homeless young people in accessing support, maintaining contacts with first to know agencies, schools and health services, as well as promoting awareness about youth homelessness.

The Youth Early Intervention and Prevention Team is run by our Youth Services team and provides early intervention and prevention support to young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

Core Community Services Limited

Youth Services - Provides support & accommodation to young people 12-25 years of age who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Corinda Christian Kindergarten & Preschool Association Inc

Corinda Christian Kindergarten is a community kindy administered by a committee of volunteers. We are a single-unit kindergarten catering for 3-5 year old children before they transition to school. We have two groups over the week, with a maximum of 22 children in each group. We are an inclusive and welcoming Kindy, fortunate to have families from a range of backgrounds.

Corrigin District High School

Corrigin District High School (DHS), situated on Noongar Boodja, has been at the heart of the local community since we opened in 1915.

At Corrigin DHS we believe that social and emotional competence and student engagement are essential to our success. We actively build relationships to ensure we understand the aspirations our families have for their children. We acknowledge that educating a child is a journey shared with the student, their family and their community. We aim to build a school culture where students are safe yet challenged, brave yet caring, independent yet collaborative and practical yet creative.

Despite our rural location we work hard to connect our students with whatever supports they need to achieve academic success. This ranges from healthy emergency food options available throughout the day, to clothing, shoes, hats and support with learning interventions. YouthCare, Central AgCare and Food Bank are key supporters of our students.

Corryong College

Corryong College is a P-12 College of 325 students located in the far north-east of Victoria, some 125 kilometres east of Wodonga and within the Shire of Towong. The College has school-wide computer links, vocational training centre, technical workshops, hospitality centre, several computer labs, outdoor education enterprises, plantations and special purpose rooms for Instrumental Music, Drama and distance education.

Corryong Neighbourhood Centre

Corryong Neighbourhood Centre (CNC) provides an array of services and facilities for the remote Upper Murray community in NE Victoria, including youth services, training, outreach connections, project & event management and community development initiatives as well as auspicing and supporting a wide range of groups. We also operate 2 social enterprise ventures providing training & employment and investment in infrastructure & growth in our region. We have a strong focus on improving training and employment opportunities in the region. We are also the local Centrelink & Vicroads agency.

Council on the Ageing (COTA) - ACT

COTA ACT is the peak organisation for all issues relating to older Canberra citizens, seniors, those of mature age and their families. It is an independent organisation working to protect and promote the well-being, rights and interests of all older people in the ACT. COTA ACT is a member of an Australian wide organisation – COTA Australia – and contributes to the development of national policies and agendas. We cover all aspects of the journey of growing older.
