Every Sunday morning we distribute non perishable items to up to 200 people at the Homeless Hub on Moore Street Perth. These include baked beans, Spaghetti, tuna, tinned fruit, muesli bars, up and go, juice boxes, cheese dips, sultanas. Along with these items we have tea and coffee on offer. We also have a team of volunteers who run Our Charity Meals where every Sunday they make fresh sandwiches, baked items, boiled eggs, fresh fruit. One of our volunteers has a clothing distribution as well with all items donated and sorted by her and her team.
At the Moore Street Hub we set up several marquees in such a way that its like a shopping market. We have found that we have struck up a personal relationship with a number of those experiencing homelessness. As we are at the coal face so to speak we have found that our service gives a more community that these people have grown to love and as we have as well.

Perth Inner City Youth Service
PICYS operates a Household Network for homelessness young people aged 16- 25 needing either supported transitional accommodation with case management in shared units managed by a community housing provider, or support in gaining and or retaining other accommodation secured by a young person.
PICYS also runs a psychosocial mental health support service called PILLAR, for young people aged 15 - 18 at entry. PILLAR works closely with other mental health service providers and clinicians focusing on the wellbeing of the young person and engagement in the community.
PICYS works with all young people and also has a keen focus to support young people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Intersex, LGBTI. In 2015/6 nearly 1 in 3 young people PICYS worked with identified as LGBTI.

The PICAL Community Garden supplies fresh produce to our pantry and has many opportunities for horticulture training, organic vegetable and fruit growing workshops, and local food swaps. Thousands of organisations across Australia are registered with GIVIT, working across a variety of causes, hardships and demographics. Our priority is to respect and maintain the privacy, safety, dignity and independence of people reaching out for help. By connecting with a relevant support organisastion, your needs can be assessed and verified, and you can receive tailored support, which may include the organisation requesting items or services on your behalf through GIVIT.
The support organisation that is assisting you can request a range of donated items and services through GIVIT on your behalf. This may include furniture, household items, whitegoods and appliances. You can also request baby items, toiletries, toys and educational supplies, kid’s or adult’s clothing, digital devices like mobile phones or laptops.
GIVIT may also be able to help you buy groceries, fuel or medication in the form of vouchers. You can check our ‘What’s needed’ list for an idea of what can be requested through GIVIT.
Your requests may be filled through a donor donating the money needed to purchase the item new, or through a donor donating the actual item or service.
