To access donated items or services through GIVIT, please connect with a support organisation registered with GIVIT that can assess your needs and provide assistance. This organisation can then place a request on GIVIT on your behalf. Click here for more information on how to get support through GIVIT.

One Meal - It Makes a Difference
One Meal – It Makes a Difference is a 100% volunteer, Sydney based not for profit community organisation that helps to feed, clothe and support the homeless and underprivileged.
Our mission is to provide nutritious meals and a range of human services to the homeless, destitute, impoverished and underprivileged people in our community and to assist in advancing their well-being, outlook on life and prospects for future independence – and to do so with strong ethics and integrity.
We run weekly meal services in Blacktown, Cronulla, Darlinghurst, Engadine, Kingsgrove, Manly, Miranda, Narraweena, Riverwood, Surry Hills and Sutherland.
In addition to our meal services, our Community Co-op hamper programs operating in Sutherland Shire, at Blacktown and on the Northern Beaches provide thousands of meals (fresh produce, prepared meals and non-perishables) each week to families and individuals in need.

Open Doors Youth Service Inc.
Open Doors Youth Service provides support to young people with diverse genders, sex and sexualities.
They support young people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, Pansexual, Sistergirl or Brotherboy (LGBTIQAP+ Sistergirl & Brotherboy) aged 12-24 across South East Queensland.
They are based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane but provide outreach in varying capacities.
They are Queensland’s leading LGBTIQAP+ youth homelessness service, working with young people who are at risk of/are disengaging with community and are at risk of/are experiencing homelessness. They aim to support and stabilise living situations and provide early intervention to support finding a safe living arrangement. This may include finding accommodation short/long term, supporting in providing mediation with parents, schools and other family members as well as advocacy and providing referrals and links to safe and supportive services.

Orygen Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (Orygen IPU) is a 22 bed facility, comprised of 16 Low Dependency Unit beds and 6 Intensive Care Area beds. The unit provides tertiary mental health services for young people (15-25) who are experiencing acute mental health difficulties. During their admission, the young people are engaged in collaborative care with a range of health professionals, such as: Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, Nursing staff, Social Workers, Exercise Physiologists and Peer Support Workers.

Outback Mobile Resource Unit Inc
The Outback Mobile Resource Unit Inc (or Mobile Toy Library) is a children's service providing both child care and play group sessions to children and families in the remote and isolated regions of Far Western New South Wales. We cover an area approximately 220,000 square km and travel to various towns, communities and properties, offering activities aimed at enhancing children's learning and social skills and providing support and resources to parents.
The program endeavours to cover all aspects of a child's development, including social development, gross and fine motor skills, cognitive ability, language and self-help and caters to children of all ages (0-12). The service provides activities that can teach these skills in a fun and interesting way.
The OMRU generally tries to attend each venue once every 3 or 4 weeks and are often required to spend up to three or four nights a week out of town.

Outcare - Tidda
Tidda supports women with undiagnosed or unsupported disability to transition and successfully reintegrate back into the community after leaving prison.
Funded by the Sisters of St John of God, the program works alongside women to ensure they have access to the skills, knowledge and means they need to live independently.
The Tidda team take a multidisciplinary approach to ensure clients receive a diagnosis and access long-term support via NDIS services and plan management. We work alongside people with unmet needs who face a range of barriers caused by physical, psychosocial or neurological disability.
Tidda case managers coordinate specialists to ensure long-term support is in place before release, and continue to provide ongoing support by
assisting clients with accommodation, employment and developing positive relationships with their families including children.
Outcare Ltd
Outcare specialises in working with people prior to and after their release from prison as well as those at risk of becoming embedded in the criminal justice system. We have a presence in every major correctional facility in the metropolitan area (except Wandoo) and deliver a range of services within the community. We run culturally specific programs for Aboriginal people, as well as specialist programs for people with cognitive disabilities and mental health issues. As families of prisoners need support, we offer a range of services to assist them and keep families connected.

Operating since 1987, Outloud is a CALD-focused social impact arts organisation that creates meaningful opportunities for young people in Western Sydney. Our award-winning projects address nationally relevant issues on a local level. Oz Assist is a volunteer organization that provides support for residents of the local community, by assisting the disadvantaged, individuals, and families. To receive donated items, services or vouchers through GIVIT, you must first connect with a relevant support organisation who can assess your needs and provide assistance. This organisation can then place a request(s) on GIVIT on your behalf.
To find relevant organisations in your area, use the search fields and filters above. Once you’ve input your filters, make sure you click ‘FIND AN ORGANISATION’ to find relevant organisations.
Thousands of organisations across Australia are registered with GIVIT, working across a variety of causes, hardships and demographics. Our priority is to respect and maintain the privacy, safety, dignity and independence of people reaching out for help. By connecting with a relevant support organisastion, your needs can be assessed and verified, and you can receive tailored support, which may include the organisation requesting items or services on your behalf through GIVIT.
The support organisation that is assisting you can request a range of donated items and services through GIVIT on your behalf. This may include furniture, household items, whitegoods and appliances. You can also request baby items, toiletries, toys and educational supplies, kid’s or adult’s clothing, digital devices like mobile phones or laptops.
GIVIT may also be able to help you buy groceries, fuel or medication in the form of vouchers. You can check our ‘What’s needed’ list for an idea of what can be requested through GIVIT.
Your requests may be filled through a donor donating the money needed to purchase the item new, or through a donor donating the actual item or service.
Your support organisation can also request time and skills such as tradespeople, cleaners, health and social support, tutoring and transport assistance.

We recommend you speak with the support organisation that you’re working with. They may not be registered with GIVIT, or they may not have placed your request yet.

The National Debt Helpine provides free, independent and confidential financial counselling via phone or live chat, Monday to Friday. You can call them on 1800 007 007.
Mob Strong Debt Helpline is a free advice service about money matters for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They can be contacted on 1800 808 488, Monday to Friday.

Mental health, depression or anxiety
If you or someone else’s life is in danger, call Triple Zero 000.
You can access 24/7 crisis support by calling Lifeline on 13 11 14. You can also contact Lifeline via text or online chat.
You can talk to a counsellor 24/7 through Beyond Blue. You can also access brief counselling with Beyond Blue via online chat.
If you’re a young person aged 12-25, you can talk to a trained clinician, you can contact Headspace 7 days a week between 9am and 1pm by calling 1800 650 890 or via online chat.
First Nations Australians
If you’re a First Nations Australian and you are going through a tough time, you can call 13YARN (13 92 76) to talk with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander crisis supporter.
Children or young people experiencing hardship
Children and young people aged 5 – 25 can access support through Kids Helpline by calling 1800 55 1800 or through online chat 24/7.
People living with disability
The Disability Gateway is an Australian Government service to help people with disability, their family, friends and carers find the support they need. They can be contacted on 1800 643 787, Monday to Friday.
Refugees and asylum seekers
If you’re a refugee or asylum seeker and you need help, you can contact the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre on 03 9326 6066 Monday to Friday for support.
People struggling with addiction
The National Alcohol and Other Drug Hotline is a 24/7 service that provides free and confidential advice about alcohol and other drugs. You can call them on 1800 250 015.
