Riding for Disabled Seymour

We provide riding lessons to our disabled children and adults in an hour radius of Seymour, Vic. Horses are amazing therapy for disabled participants and some speak for the first time while on the back of a horse.
We raise money to fund our Centre through fundraising events and donations from the community.
We use adaptive equipment for riders who need specialized reins, stirrups, and mounting ramp for wheelchair riders.

RIMERN (Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network)

This Rotary multi club community service project collects donated furniture, appliances & household goods & makes them available to clients of member welfare agencies to set up their secure homes. These clients have experienced homelessness, domestic violence, incarceration, refugee displacement, loss through unemployment, illness or natural disaster. We have a warehouse in East Brunswick & work with 26 of Melbourne's major welfare agencies to supply orders to clients all over inner Melbourne.

Kira House-
Kira House offers 24/7 crisis accommodation for young women aged 14-18years with or without their babies who are escaping FDV or are in crisis.
Kira house supports Young women with case planning to find medium to long term accommodation, return to education or study, develop independent living skills. On leaving Kira House the young women are offered continued support within our outreach program to assist in developing living skills to live safely and independently within the community

Riverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation

Riverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal community controlled primary health care service. Its primary purpose is to provide culturally safe holistic health and well-being services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Wagga Wagga and surrounding areas.

The services provided are comprehensive and address the risk areas contributing to poor health outcomes through access to primary health care services including preventative health care programs such as dental services, screening programs and health education programs.

Riverstone Neighbourhood Centre and Community Aid Service Inc

Riverstone Neighbourhood Centre is a long established, not for profit charity providing services and programs that are engaging, meaningful and culturally respectful for individuals and families. We offer a diverse range of opportunities for vulnerable people across the life span. We build community capacity, aim to improve life opportunities, promote social cohesion through belonging and inclusion, and support vulnerable individuals and families. We facilitate improved access to essential services and provide enhanced opportunities for connection with our available halls, meeting space, youth centre, community shed and community garden. We build community connections by facilitating local interagencies, community consultation and enabling community engagement on issues of concern, particularly during times of crisis, such as the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now with the recent floods in the Hawkesbury.

RiverTracks Inc

RiverTracks offers a lifeline to struggling young people by reconnecting them back to the community and practical learning to help them find employment and life-changing opportunities that create pathways for a better future.

RiverTracks was first inspired by the successful BackTrack program based in Armidale has been established by a group of Tweed Valley youth workers and community members. We run an ongoing program for young people who are disengaging or are already completely disengaged in schooling. We are motivated by a desire to meet the needs of the many young people falling through the net of existing services, and a concern for the alarming rate of suicide, incarceration and mental health issues experienced by our young people. RiverTracks currently operates 2-3 days per week doing community service work, bike mechanics, wood work and running a yard work social enterpris in Murwillumbah, NSW. Riverview Community Services is the community care arm of Riverview Church. We exist to provide practical assistance and personal support to those in the local community who are experiencing challenging life circumstances and financial need. We run an Emergency Relief program, providing food aid and food assistance.

ROBWC Inc

ROBWC Inc formally Reaching Out Because We Can … are an organisation that has been helping the families in crisis, homeless and less fortunate communities of Melbourne for over 7 years. We make up ‘You are Special’ food bags each week to be handed out, filled with non-perishable food items. We source and take clothing, toiletries and blankets with our food bags to various suburbs, with the majority in the City of Greater Dandenong.
We also fill houses with white goods, furniture, linen, household items, toiletries and clothing … everything that is needed to make it a home. There has been a huge increase in the number of families coming out of the pandemic, the less fortunate and people with various disabilities: physical, emotional and mental. We take time to chat with those we help and refer them to other agencies and individuals who can further assist them.

The Rockhampton Women's Shelter provides secure accommodation for women and families that have been adversely affected by domestic violence. The Women's shelter also provide additional support for our clients, during the crucial stage of entering their new house while learning to live independently.

Sustaining NSW Families (SNF) is a sustained home visiting program for mothers who have young children 0-2 years. SNF works with families that are considered vulnerable, and have current mental health concerns or other psychosocial issues such as domestic violence, housing, financial and parenting concerns.

Rosies - Friends on the Street

Rosies reaches out to those most in need, those people who are abandoned, marginalised, socially isolated within our communities.

Whilst many organisations are increasingly providing awareness, support, and referral, the greater human need is the need for friendship and unconditional acceptance during difficult times. Our wonderful Rosies volunteers aim to do just that, providing a community of belonging that is always there.

Over 95% of our work is funded through kind donations from our local community.

High profile Community Service Club in Ballina which has been serving the Ballina community through COVID and through the latest disastrous flooding. Since the 28th of February BOR has been working non stop in all forms of Flood Crisis assistance. Most recently the club fundraised almost $800,000 to be distributed around Ballina Shire and most recently in Broadwater township and the local rural community. Vouchers were distributed in $500 lots to flood affected residents. We are now holding Community get-togethers so that neighbours and rural communities have the opportunity to meet up for a night of fellowship with a positive speaker helping flood affected residents cope with their current difficult situation.
