We provide emergency and medical services, aged care, mental health, palliative and residential care to thousands of patients each year.

St. Joseph's College - North Melbourne

St Joseph’s is privileged to walk alongside young people aged 12-25 who are seeking an alternative to mainstream education in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. St Joseph’s is part of Edmund Rice Education Australia, Victorian Schools Ltd.

Grounded in a trauma informed practice framework, St Joseph’s empowers young people through personalised educational programs that are centred around the Victorian Curriculum, the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM), VPC (Victorian Pathways Certificate), and Vocational Education and Training (VET). The school also offers outreach educational opportunities, an extensive excursion program and outdoor education.

St Joseph’s aims to remove all barriers that young people may face to engaging in education. The school does not have any fees, or any costs for books, excursion or VET programs, and young people are provided a MYKI so that they can easily access school via public transport.

St. Merkorious Charity

St Merkorious Charity was founded in 2013 with a vision to tackle poverty from the root with a continued spirit of love, compassion, and tolerance. Our main mission is to relieve hunger and food insecurity by providing nutritious food, clothing, and hygiene products to empower communities in need and inspire hope. We ensure that every meal of the 2500+ weekly meals we currently provide is nutritious, fresh, and delicious, because we understand that being able to eat food that is both tasty and good will support our clients in body and spirit. Our food services include:

- Delivering food hampers and hot meals to clients in a private, discreet, and supportive way

- Holding regular community meals across Greater Sydney to give our homeless and other disadvantaged clients are chance to share meals, chat, and feel connected.

-A successful Breakfast Club pilot at Bass High School, which helped increase student engagement to their studies and school community

St. Peter and Paul Association for Syriac Catholic in Queensland Inc

To foster a strong inclusive community where all people are safe, valued and empowered. The overarching goal of supporting these communities is to create a healthy and friendly environment, enhance a sense of belonging, acceptance of others, and integration into the Australian community, as well as teaching the values of love and forgiveness. We believe that creating this positive environment will have a positive impact on Australia and its diverse communities.
The Mercy Program will assist Christian migrants from Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan to settle in Queensland. Activities are designed to reduce identified barriers to their participation. Everyone comes via Visas 200,202 and experienced and/or witnessed war horrors war, bombings, physical and psychological terror.

St. Vincent de Paul - Amelie House

Amelie House is a crisis accommodation and case management service for unaccompanied women or women with children who have experienced domestic/family violence and/or homelessness. We provide safe individual unit accommodation.
The service operates within a client centred service delivery framework based on the principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration and empowerment and incorporates both trauma informed and culturally competent practices.
We also assist with a range of issues that lead single men and women and families to become homeless or at risk of homelessness. All our services provide case-management and advocacy for each person that we assist.

Stairway Church

Stairway Church runs a free community food pantry called @ThePantry. We support our communities struggling with food insecurity. Visitors to the pantry can access fresh fruit & vegetables, bread, dairy, meat, frozen meals, long life food, pet food, personal hygiene products, household cleaning products, and some other household items. We also run a little cafe space where our visitors can stay for a cuppa and a chat after getting food.

Magnolia Place is a safe space in the heart of Westfield Helensvale, where anyone experiencing abuse or isolation can get the support they, or their loved ones, need to see a brighter future, without fear or judgement. With no intake form, no eligibility criteria and no waiting list - pick up the phone or pop into Magnolia Place for a tea, coffee and confidential conversation with experienced practitioners - who can work with you and link you in with meaningful support.

STAR supports the elderly and people with disability to live independently, engage with the wider community and achieve their goals.

With the generous support of local community volunteers, we offer a wide range aged care and disability support services to ensure that the vulnerable members of our community can access affordable and reliable services such as Home Care Packages, transport, in-home help, social activities, companionship and more.

Starick Services Inc. - Rivervale

Starick is a not-for-profit domestic and family violence service that assists women and children. Starick has been working in the south east metropolitan corridor of Perth since 1985, providing a diverse range of services for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.

Starick provides crisis and medium-term housing, court and legal support, counselling, support groups, programs for children and a community op shop.

Our services include two refuges, outreach services for women and children living in the community and transitional housing for women who have recently left the refuge. We also offer our Safe at Home programs to assist women to stay in their homes after domestic violence.

We rely on community funding to provide non-core programs to the women and children in our service such as children’s counselling, baby massage, yoga for trauma and therapeutic writing programs.

Stationery Aid Ltd

Stationery Aid donates education resources in the form of yearly stationery and booklist packs to disadvantaged school students, giving them a helping hand to kickstart the school year. The education resources for our packs are predominantly sourced from used and unused excess school stationery, diverting perfectly usable waste from landfill. Items are sorted, cleaned and renewed to the highest quality standard. We also accept new items.

SHLV is a free service that helps women and their children to separate from a violent relationship and stay safely at home. SHLV provides a range of support such as safety planning, improving home security, assistance in managing finances, support for children, helping women throughout the complicated legal process, information and referrals to other services and support to continue to live free from violence.

Step by Step Recovery Support Service

Step by Step provides post-disaster psychosocial support to bushfire and flood affected residents living in the Lithgow, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions. We provide personalised case-management support to people affected by the recent disaster events. We are a free, mobile outreach service providing tailored assistance with insurance, rebuilding, links to recovery resources and services as well as immediate emotional and social support. We focus on strengthening people's well-being and resilience as they start on the road to recovery.

Stepping Stone Clubhouse

Stepping Stone is a community intentionally organised to support individuals living with the effects of mental illness. Through participation in a clubhouse people are given the opportunities to rejoin the worlds of friendships, family, important work, employment, education, and to access the services and supports they may individually need. A clubhouse is a restorative environment for people who have had their lives drastically disrupted, and need the support of others who believe that recovery from mental illness is possible for all.

Stepping Stone House

The Stepping Stone House Vision is to end Youth Homelessness in Australia. Stepping Stone House provides homeless and at-risk youth with accommodation and personal development to help them become independent and the very best they can be.
We have 3 key aims:

Equip our young people with knowledge and skills that will support them in achieving their dreams

Stepping Stone House has helped over 500 young people to become self-sufficient and independent young adults. We place significant focus on creating a FUN environment and wonderful childhood memories.
Through a combination of adventure education, team sport, community volunteering, mentoring and counselling, we equip young people with the confidence, self-care and life skills they need to become the very best they can be. We stand out from many homeless refuges as a dedicated community providing a home-away-from-home environment.

Stewart House

Stewart House supports disadvantaged and at-risk public school children in NSW & ACT by providing a 12-day break by the sea at no cost to carers where they are given teeth, sight, hearing and wellbeing checks, excursions around Sydney, wellbeing activities that build self-esteem and resilience, and a loving and caring environment.

Still Aware

In Australia, Stillbirth is the leading cause of infant death. Many of these deaths are preventable. Still Aware’s mission is to end preventable stillbirth through awareness and education.

Still Aware is the first and only not-for-profit charity, based in Adelaide, but are national. Dedicated to raising awareness of Stillbirth, saving lives through the education of health care providers, expectant mothers, and their families. I myself was shocked and dismayed to learn that stillbirth is the leading cause of infant death in Australia:

- more than 2000 babies are ‘born still’ every year in Australia

- six babies a day, one baby, one family grieving every five hours

- for every baby that dies of SIDS, 35 are stillborn

These figures are as astounding as they are devastating, but more tragic is the knowledge that up to sixty percent of these vulnerable babies’ lives could be saved.

Stride Hub - Caboolture

Stride Hub works with individuals, families, and carers, at home and in the community to access a range of community mental health supports as well as other services in the community such as: employment, domestic violence, housing and drug and alcohol services. The Hub also offers structured and purposeful group-based interventions.

Stride Mental Health - Garran

The South Canberra SUSD Facility is residential facility which provides a home-like environment to up to 6 adults aged 18 to 65 years for a period of 14 days The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. SUSD is designed for individuals whose treatment and recovery is better suited to short term (up to 14 days) intensive treatment in a rehabilitative setting. Residents will come to the Facility after being in in-patient care (Step Down) and also will be referred as an alternative to ED or in-patient settings (Step Up)

Strong Nation Community Services is the community arm of Strong Nation Church. It is a not-for-profit organisation working within the Hawkesbury LGA.
Strong Nation Community provides a range of services including EAPA vouchers for electricity and gas accounts. Emergency relief hampers. SHS (Specialist Homelessness Services) supporting families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As well as Early Years Family Support, helping families experiencing difficulties who have at least one child under 3 years of age. Strong Women Talking - Marigum Mubi Yangu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation

Strong women talking is a Domestic and Family Violence prevention program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders based in north Brisbane. we Educate, Equip and Empower women and their families through an 8-week healing journey and follow up groups. We also do a lot of community-based events to educate the wider community about domestic violence and the impacts it has. We cater food and beverages to the ladies, provide transport and support in the most culturally appropriate manner. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are over-represented in national violence statistics.

Substation 33

Substation33 is a YFS social enterprise based in the Logan suburb of Kingston. Substation33 opened its doors in January 2013 as an electronic waste recycling centre, providing a workplace where volunteers and employees gain confidence and skills for the transition to sustainable employment. Its purpose is to provide training and employment opportunities through the recycling of electronic waste.

More recently, Substation33 has started an Innovation Lab and has designed and developed a number of products for commercial, social and educational purposes. These included Flooded Road Smart Warning Signs, Electric ‘e-bikes’, 3D printers, a vertical garden monitoring system, to name just a few. These projects provide an opportunity for up-cycling and e-waste diversion from land-fill, which has environmental benefits, and skills development and transfer between professional mentors and volunteers, students and people seeking to return to the workforce, which provides social and economic benefits to the community.
