Grocery voucher - $50
After losing everything in recent bushfires, impacted households are facing a very tough Christmas.
Our service is supporting 13 households who were impacted by the recent fires in Mariginiup and have lost all of their belongings. These individuals and families were either renting or uninsured and now face a very challenging festive period. The road to recovery will be long and with Christmas fast approaching, we would like to give them vouchers. They are so grateful for the donations that have already generously been given but after losing everything, the ability to go to a shop and choose what they buy be it food or a Christmas gift for their child means so much. It is a slight sense of normalcy, agency, and joy in what is a very traumatic time.
