Grandmother caring for her 3 young grandchildren - support with school uniforms.
I am currently working alongside a grandmother who is caring for her three young grandchildren. The grandmother was working full-time, however, due to caring for her grandchildren they have had to reduce their hours of work. This has had a significant impact on the families’ financial circumstances and with the increased cost of living they are now experiencing financial hardship. The grandmother is not an Australian citizen and is not able to access any financial support to support her with caring for the children. The children are requiring new school uniforms as they have recently moved to the school and the grandmother has not been able to pay for the uniforms. If the grandmother was able to receive financial support, it would allow the children to attend school in uniform which will have a positive impact upon their social and emotional wellbeing.
