Raised in the system but trying to defy the odds

One of our young mums who attends our mothers group recently gave birth to her fist child. This young mum was raised in the system with very little support, but is making the way for herself and her baby. She was in youth crises care housing whilst pregnant, and is now in transitional housing and preparing for their own home. Baby was born at 32 weeks, and has been in the special care nursery. He will be discharged soon and mum is hoping to get help with getting a safe car seat capsule that will accommodate his small size. The car seat she has will not be suitable for quite a while. She is hoping to get a capsule that converts from car to pram so that he can go between home + hospital appts comfortably while getting the rest a wee premmie baby needs. The travel system combos start at around $900 at Baby Bunting. We are hoping to get $1000 in vouchers to cover the pram/capsule + shipping (we do not have suiitable baby store options in Bunbury)
