We are reaching out to request your support for a single mum with three teenagers who desperately need help to ease the financial burden. This family was severely affected by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper and has been living in crisis accommodation for the past five months in Cooktown. Fortunately, they have recently moved to more permanent housing in Cairns in early May.
The mother, currently unemployed, is learning and adapting to city life but is struggling to afford the necessary food for her children. The children have recently been enrolled into school, which adds to the financial pressure as they settle into their new environment.
