Young Family Recovering From Storms
The residents have a two children under two and are living in their first property which they purchased a year ago. During the Feb 2024 Storm event strong winds and heavy rain caused the roof of the home to leak into the kitchen, causing damage to insulation, plaster board and light fixtures. The family have limited support in Australia with relatives traveling from overseas to visit them. The family are experiencing financial hardship and mental health challenges since the storms and are seeking food vouchers to allow them to save for repairs to the home. Despite the challenges ahead they have an optimistic outlook are know they will get through this time.
