Elderly Pensioners, Traumatised and Severely Impacted by the Recent Storm Event, experiencing Financial Hardship.
Residents home incurred damages to their house from the Recent Storm Event, also experiencing prolonged power outage, resulting in the loss of all their food in the fridge/freezer. Residents are on a limited income, only receiving the Pension and have had to cover damages caused to their house themselves, causing financial stress and hardship. In addition, Resident is the main carer for her husband, who has a frontal lobe damage to his brain, and is also struggling with her own health and wellbeing at this time. Both Residents require ongoing regular medical supports, with GP, Specialist and Hospital appointments, requiring excessive fuel costs, on top of needing to purchase 4 x tyres for their vehicle, adding to their financial stress and concern. Residents are struggling in all aspects at this time and would be very grateful for any support they receive at this time.
