My client was impacted by the Feb 2022 Floods that impacted the Northern Rivers and her private rental property she lost majority of her household belongings she secured Temporary Accommodation.
This has been her first-time self-advocating to secure housing on her own with her children.
My client is a survivor of historical Family & Domestic Violence who has fled from her perpetrator /children’s father. A 51yr old mother of a 13yr old daughter who lives fulltime with her and a 12yr old son who has been diagnosed with Autism that she shares 50/50 care arrangements with their father.
My client attends a parenting course, utilises the parent’s hotline when required she has enrolled into community college to improve her digital literacy and computer skills. My client is maintaining casual employment and supports where she can with other parents with school transportation.
