Resident farmer struggling with economic hardship and incurred major damage to property deemed now uninhabitable.
This unfortunate resident had major damage to his house on his farm with no insurance for contents or house and going through economic hardship, living in a shed as he cannot afford to fix the house. (No insurance). He had two trees land on the house during a storm in the flood season. He is struggling to get by and depends on some welfare to keep him going. He is isolated with no family support.
He struggles with diabetes as well as other health issues.
Adding to this, this resident has been re impacted by the recent flood and the Storm. He was already living in poor conditions (shed) due to not being able to afford to fix his house and now the shed was damaged (severe water leakage) and a tree fell on top of his car. Lost all his perishable food as well as his diabetes medication and some vaccines he kept in the fridge for his sheep.
