Moving into new home after a long period of living in unsuitable conditions.
Recipients are a 60 yo single female, small dog and two bunnies. This person was affected by October 2022 flooding in our area and then during the recovery period she received a notice to vacate her home due to sale of the property. Since vacating, she has been living in a very small one room unit for 6months. She identifies as aboriginal and has a past history of significant trauma of violence and abuse. She has been given the opportunity to make a home in a new 1-bedroom unit. She has very little furniture or appliances to furnish the new home and the things she does have left have been damaged by mice in storage and also carry the memory of the trauma she has experienced. Looking for assistance with goods to help her move forward and live in the new home and create new happy memories.
