Aboriginal single mother needs assistance to purchase Christmas gifts for children
Our service is supporting an Aboriginal woman who is a survivor of complex trauma - including institutional abuse and recent domestic violence. She is currently engaging in therapeutic interventions to assist in her healing and recovery. She a mother of five children aged 14, 9, 5, 4 and 1.
She is unable to work and is experiencing significant financial hardship, which will be exacerbated by the pressures of the Christmas period. She is unable to afford to purchase gifts for all five children this Christmas, which increases levels of stress and anxiety. It would bring great joy to this family if Mum was assisted in being able to purchase gifts for the children.
