70 year old grandmother looking after family with complex needs on a pension.

Client is a 70 year old grandmother, supporting both her adult children and grandchildren. Her daughter has Downs Syndrome. Her son has severe mental health issues and a chronic health condition requiring a special diet. Her grandsons are both vision impaired, one is legally blind. One is four years old and one is six years old.

She lives in a regional area and needs to drive the family to different appointments. Her son’s special diet is costly.

Client is supporting this family on the pension. Client is struggling financially and would greatly benefit from assistance with food and fuel vouchers, this will enable her to make other purchases such as school uniforms.

As she said to me – she is not able to rest at this time of her life as she has multiple and constant demands on her.
