During the storms of Feb 2024, the property in where they rent was damaged and outdoor furniture lost. Consumer did not have insurance. They were also without power for a number of days which meant vital Medication and food were lost due, and they have found it hard to recover for the extra costs involved. Consumer is a very proud woman and has not reached out for "handouts" but at this stage they are finding it hard to purchase foods the right foods needed for their health as cannot eat processed foods. To be able to receive food vouchers would ease the current fiscal burden they are facing and help to avoid long term, financial hardship therefore restoring sense of pride.
