13yo student, young carer, living in refuge housing with single mum needing financial support for education & recreation

A vulnerable 13-year-old student who is a young carer for her mother who lives with physical, chronic and mental health issues, and a history of substance use.

She is currently living in refuge housing, and their mother is a single parent with Centrelink as the sole income. They are needed financial and emergency relief in order to attend schooling. Her schooling has been impacted by her caring role, own mental health issues and the significant transitions from living in temporary housing and grief/loss.

She has a fresh start at a new school, and we are hoping that educational supplies for books and stationery, this can assist with removing barrier to education, encourage school engagement, enable her to practice self-care and significantly improve the trajectory of her future aspirations.
