Young family just moved into their new forever home after a tough year in temporary accommodation after losing everything.

This young indigenous family was seriously impacted by the January 2023 flooding event in Fitzroy Crossing, the biggest flooding event in recorded WA history. They lost all of their belongings and their vehicle was compromised. They have been living in temporary accommodation up until now and relying on relatives and goodwill of local people. They have just moved in to their new forever home in town and require furnishings to make it more comfortable, homelike and settling for the children. This in turn will allow for better educational outcomes for the children, as the past 12 months has been very rocky and unsettled for them.
