Flood effected and the diagnosed with MS
This Flood affected gentleman has been living with his sister for the last 3 years. He lost everything he owned and had started the process of cleaning up the mess at the house he was renting. A few days into the cleanup he became very ill, thinking that it was flood related he pushed through for a while. Eventually becoming too ill to work he was admitted to Lismore base hospital and not long after he was diagnosed with MS. As Lismore had limited services for over a year, the only accommodation at the time was in Sydney with his sister. We have been supporting him while he has been in Sydney as no other services understood being flood affected and having MS and how stressful it was to be away from his daughter who lives in Ballina. We have helped him with his NDIS and his Housing application and have now just been approved for a private rental subsidy, he can finally be in his own flat, and his daughter can visit him finally. He has nothing due to illness and storage
