Finally in remission.... only to be struck by heart breaking news

A mother and son regional in a remote part of the country, have been a team as they battle leukaemia for the past 3 years. At the age of 8, this young boy travelled to and from a major city for treatment over 200 times in the past 3 years, together determined to fight this awful disease.
Earlier this year, the boy went into remission. The tears of joy flowed as they prepared to restart their lives outside of the hospital wards.... 5 months later, not feeling well, he has been told the devastating news that the cancer has returned in his bones and is rapidly spreading.
The boy must now relocate to the hospital to recommence treatment and undo a number of surgeries... including a possible amputation. The family are devastated.
Mum has had to quit her job, by her sons side for every moment ahead. But times will be tough and days long.
