57 yo man was relocated from Lismore to Ballina due to flooding. He has complex health challenges including diabetes, chronic pain and a brain injury. He is not eligible for NDIS support and self funds carers from a work injury payout. He has considerable mobility challenges and wishes to visit his children for Christmas in Lismore. He is not eligible for any assistance for respite care and cannot stay with family as he is in a wheelchair and needs to stay in a hotel with wheelchair accessibility. He has an invoice for three nights in an accessible hotel room for $615. As he has limited funds and is unable to see his family regularly it would mean the world for him to be able to be close to family for three nights over Christmas. Any assistance with this accommodation cost would be deeply appreciated.
