Elderly woman, impacted by the February storms, is in need of a washing machine and oven.
Resident is an 80-year-old woman who lives on her three-acre property that she has spent years planting trees on.
Resident has an existing back condition that prevents her from walking any great distance.
A number of these trees came down during the storm and the resident was unable to clear the debris herself – a local person offered to help her and charged her over $1000 to do this but only completed part of the job and hasn’t come back. Resident now has no money to finish the job and still needs to replace the food she lost during the power outage and her broken oven and washing machine. Resident is currently cooking on her gas cook top only and is struggling with this as she has to stand while monitoring her cooking on the stove. Resident would appreciate any assistance.
