Young mother with Charcot-Marie-Tooth needs a dryer to ease laundry burden while awaiting NDIS support.
We request your support in purchasing a clothes dryer for a young mother in our community facing significant challenges due to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT). CMT is a hereditary neurological disorder that affects the peripheral nerves, leading to muscle weakness, decreased muscle size, and reduced sensation in the feet, legs, hands, and arms. This progressive condition has significantly limited her mobility, making daily tasks, such as hanging out clothes, increasingly difficult.
This young woman is the mother of three small children, and the physical strain of managing laundry is becoming overwhelming. A clothes dryer would greatly alleviate this burden, enabling her to care for her children more effectively and maintain a sense of normalcy in her daily life.
She is currently awaiting assessment for NDIS support, but your assistance would make an immediate and meaningful difference. Any support you can provide would be immensely appreciated.
