A resilience young Aboriginal woman and her son are facing an uphill battle. They recently moved from crisis accommodation to long-term housing, seeking stability after years of hardship. Both mother and son face significant health challenges. The mother lives with complex PTSD, depression, anxiety and level 1 autism. Despite her own health struggles, she is deeply committed to caring for her son is living with incontinence and vision impairment. The mother works tirelessly to manage the son’s sleeping routine, assisting him from distinguishing between night and day. Their previous crisis accommodation made it difficult to maintain consistent care, but in this new home, she is determined to create a stable environment where they can both thrive. However, their house still remains empty and unfurnished. Having basic furniture, they can turn their new space into a secure and comfortable environment, giving them foundation they need to heal and rebuild their lives.
