My client lost everything in the devastating floods and is still displaced, living in a temporary flood village. On top of this, she is struggling with severe mental health challenges that impact her ability to leave her home, find work, and manage daily life.
Recently, the village introduced a new licensing fee, essentially acting as rent, adding another burden to her already difficult situation. With only JobSeeker payments to rely on, she is struggling to cover both this fee and basic necessities like food.
