A young mother and her five-year-old son are facing incredibly tough times after being heavily impacted by recent severe weather. Their home and belongings were significantly damaged, leaving them without essential items that once brought them comfort and stability. Among the losses were their bedding, bedside tables, outdoor lounge, and most heartbreakingly, many of the little boy’s toys.
While the physical damage has been overwhelming, the emotional toll has been even greater. Her son is struggling with the trauma of the experience—his safe and familiar world has been turned upside down. The mother is doing everything she can to create a sense of normalcy and security again, but the road to recovery is long and difficult without extra support.
